Rayman M PS2 problem

Post by Aaron »

OK, so the problem is:

The game can load almost all race and battle tracks just fine, with an exception:

Dark Sewer.

I don't know why, but it first lags, freezes all of a sudden and the music is looping and I just can't get further in the game.

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah it definitely sounds like a scratched disc if the music is looping too. If you have no disc cleaner just run it under the tap and use a but of soap from a dispenser on it. Run it under the tap and rub your finger from the inside to the edge right around it to try remove any oils or grease etc. That might be good enough.

Thanks! I'll try that.

It is always not possible to clean your scratch disc, especially if the damage is major, it i better to have your disc in proper disc casing, it prevent all types of disc damage

Sometimes the damage is already done though and that's when I use toothpaste ;)

It works for me anyway so long as the disc wasn't literally walked on and pushed across the floor or scraped against pebble dashing

It's because of the way it's slightly abrasive so it slightly polishes / buffs the disc. I'd only do it if a game is already destroyed though as it puts lots of light scratches on the disc then its actually the damp microfiber cloth that buffs out most of them light scratches. The result will still be a fair few light scratches that you'll see reflecting off light from an angle but it's enough that straight on they're barely noticeable which is the angle where the laser is directed at the data.

I would only do it if the game doesnt work or a glitch hinders game progres
