Rayman 3 Demo (PC) Running Too Fast

Actually my computer has a lot of other issues but those are not GPU related. And yes I have tried reinstalling the GPU drivers. The FPS counter does work when I try to play for example Rayman Legends. I don't even have to ALT+F12.

Hmm. What are your computer specs like your CPU etc.? I've only heard of an issue like this once happening with CounterStrike 1.6 but I'm not even sure if that person was just lying.

My PC is kinda old (Built September 2015).
PC Specs:
CPU: AMD A-10-7870K Radeon R7 3.9 GHz
GPU: Geforce GTX 960
RAM: 16GB (8GB HyperX Fury 1600MHz + 8GB Crucial BallistixSport 1600MHz)
Case: Fractal Design Core 2500
Monitor: Philips 223V5LHSB/00 1920x1080 60hz 1ms

Can you try pressing CTRL ALT DEL when the demo is running, find your running demo on details in task manager and try right clicking and set your CPU affinity to only use one core?

See if that helps as the game is older and maybe there an issue with extra AMD cores here.

EDIT: CTRL SHIFT ESC will get you into the task manager also.

Yeah I tried all of them one at a time but still no difference but I think you are on to something here as I have read on other forums when people run old games they always recommend disabling some cores to fix the sped up gameplay.

Yeah ghats the one. It's kind of a strange issue that I think only affects old games. My PC is Intel, but I have an AMD laptop from 2013 so what I'll do is I'll test the demo on that for you even though I own the game just to see if I have the same issue.

I have tried this demo on other PC's like one from 2012 with an intel i7 and that one ran too fast as well. It did work on a dell from 2007 and that one if I remember correctly had an AMD. Thanks for helping me out by the way

I wonder now if it's only the demo that has the issue on newer hardware. I'll test it on my PC and laptop and see.

Oh and one thing I want to mention is that I have a PC BETA DEMO of Rayman 3 from 2002 that actually works just fine compared to the demo from 2003.
I even recorded some footage of me playing it here:

It's kind of odd that it's happening but I'm sure it must be just the Demo as I have the game running on a 7700k at normal speed. I'll still try the demo however.

Sorry for the delay. Yes it runs way too fast for me also. I'll have a look into it and see if I can figure out why.

EDIT: I found a workaround for now if it's any good to you. Download Nvidia inspector, click the little settings icon, make sure you selected the path to mainp5pvf.exe and then set the frame limiter to 60fps and hit apply changes. That should make the game run at the intended speed.

Ok I downloaded it but I cannot find where to put in mainp5pvf.exe. I found the frame limiter but it seems to make everything 60fps on my PC. Where is the settings icon? Maybe I clicked in the wrong place.
EDIT: I think I found it, i will try it now.

You'll see a drop down box on the top. In my case it automatically selected the mainp5pvf.exe as it was the last program that was used beforehand. I haven't fully tested if it has any vsync issues yet but at least it's a start.
