I need to get my act together on these crash bandicoot games. I only played a few levels in the wrath of cortex last week and forgot to go back to it. I definitely might pick up that PS1 I was looking at that has crash bandicoot 2 with it since that's a brilliant game.

Which ones do you have as of right now besides Wrath of Cortex?

I only have Titans and Mind Over Mutant on my xbox 360 and Wrath of Cortex on PS2. I have the majority of the consoles modded but I would still prefer to own the games as getting a free or pirate game isn't the same and you wouldn't have the intention to play it then imo. I think you have much more desire to play it if you have to pay for it and you can't beat that disc art and the manuals either ;)

Edit: Incentive is the word I was looking for.

100% agree. Years ago I bought the original Crash game, and it came with the game and the case, but no manual. Just isn't the same without the complete set. Doesn't feel, complete. :fou2:

Yeah. It happened me with Rayman 1. I haven't owned it since I was a kid so wanted it bad. I could've got the disc alone for €6 but then I seen it for €10 with the case and manual. It was missing it's front inlay though so I had to pay an extra €3 and get the whole lot

The PS1 Crash games are not cheap at all for the full set though btu the good news is if I buy the PS1, the included Crash 2 is complete boxed with a manual.

I didn't get the Jaguar Rayman with a box though but to be fair it's cardboard and was £44 (€50) extra with the box. Nothing stops me from buying the box on ebay again though if I ever wanted one :P

I think this might be the real deal this time. These images are way too elaborate to be faked. I think we can expect an announcement very soon.

Judging by the box art, this seems to be developed by the same folks who were responsible for the Skylanders games, "Toys For Bob", which could be a red flag for some despite how solid this remake looks.

I'll be looking forward to this, despite not having any sort of nostalgia to PS1 mascot platformers, I always wanted to give them a shot.

Looks good enough, I just hope they don't mess up any hitboxes this time.

Dude, that looks AWESOME. I look forward to seeing this happen in the possible near future.

Oh and guys, I just found and bumped the Spyro the Dragon thread up if you all want to talk about it later.

Each Crash game for PS1 is over €20 for a case and non platinum disc. I'm going to have no money :ouin:

EDIT: The best deal I can find on Warped boxed and a manual is about €24 posted and Cortex Strikes Back is about €30 posted.

I'm probably just fussy but I really DO NOT want Platinum discs. I'd rather get a modded PS1 and burn a CD-R at that rate as they look fake to me anyway.

I've never owned platinum discs. Are they really that bad?

Yup, they are!

I hate Platinum releases too, they look cheap:

I just don't like them at all. The PS3 copy of Legends I have is essentials but that's OK because it still has the disc art with some red and essentials written is all.

I don't even like the platinum PS2 cases either. The labels look awful imo.

People that collect games usually don't seem to like them which is why the others cost more. Some people don't care about even having the real case or manual either but lately I'd much prefer a game to be complete with everything.

Yeah US PS2 GH / PS3 Essentials titles do look better.

The PS1 platinum cases aren't as bad but I still prefer black label. Especially as platinum the disc looks awful.

PS2 platinum cases are the cheapest most fake looking things you can get.

It's for those reasons I'm spending about double the money for the Crash games. I'm trying to get them complete with manuals but that's probably just me being fussy.

You aren’t the only one ;) I’m like that too, wanting to have everything complete and black labeled

Well thank fudge for that. I thought I was just the odd one out that wanted everything complete. I might be a bit of a perfectionist as even when something works but I think it could work better, I won't leave it alone until it does work better
