I find it interesting too that certain plums are only designed to latch temporarily. I would expect that programming to be on the spikes. The game obviously must expect you to only use the designated plum in the area and not try that

Re: Rayman 2
It was definitely an interesting experiment for me, there are a few things that have changed between Rayman 2 and Revolution, and I don't think it's just that. I tried that negative glitch in the Menhir Hills and it didn't actually work, curiously, whereas in the original Rayman 2 it would lead to me being stuck there forever.
I have to thank Plum for giving me this inspiration. I should try doing some more research into these games..
I should make another one again sometime...

Re: Rayman 2
Rayman 2 has a lot of glitches, specifically Revolution and the 3DS versions. There's a lot of unlisted glitches in those games and I know that for a fact we'd find lots of them if we were trying. Most people don't look for them though and just play the game. Revolution glitched heavily on me multiple times on my playthrough and I used a real PS2 and game disc so there's no emulator glitching excuse. Imagine I was actually looking for revolution glitches and not just playing, how many would I encounter then?
Maybe 7

You're probably right about that, hehe!
Still was an interestingly good experiment. I wonder what else I'll find? I guess working on that guide also helped me with something else!

We'll be getting carried away looking for glitches while Fifo angrily sits there waiting 2 days for us to complete a level

Re: Rayman 2
Hey at least i'm doing something for the guide at least. Though I don't think I should put glitches like this on there.
Re: Rayman 2
I know you are but I'm just saying we'll probably be looking for glitches

Re: Rayman 2
That sounds like it would be lots of fun, and not just for this game, a LOT of games too!

Re: Rayman 2
So basically they didn't actually fix their stupidity with the plums, but they did take away the invisible wall that prevents people from figuring it out? That's Revolution in a nutshell.

Re: Rayman 2
No they really didn't fix that part, it still felt weird for it to be bouncing like that!
It was still fun for me, so I might do more experimenting on other games....heehehe.

Re: Rayman 2
Revolution nore or less removes some boundaries so you get to see how many glitches are actually there
I still find the barrel one interesting that it works in Revolution too.

Yeah, I think I might do some more videos like that one on my tester channel, and honestly RayTwol makes me a little curious now...

Re: Rayman 2
I've added a subpage of my wiki userpage detailing the whole plum/post thing.

Re: Rayman 2
I like how I got credited with discovering the RR glitches
I wonder how I create my own userpage in Raywiki?
I might do more experimenting when I have the chance.

Re: Rayman 2
Well, there are red links to your userpage on that page I created. You can just click on one of them and create your userpage.
And if you want a subpage just look up "User:The Jonster/Whatever" and create the page.
Re: Rayman 2
Did anyone ever confirm that the other keg glitch works in Revolution? I'm almost sure it does but I was told it's supposed to not. I also noticed the glitch still works for igniting the keg earlier than you should be allowed.

Re: Rayman 2
As in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdsBetVzMjc ?
Also since I mentioned magic spheres in that wiki page I decided to muck around with those in The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire #1 using RayTwol. I was able to move the yellow sphere and base to the beginning of the level, but the blue sphere couldn't be moved. So I tried sticking the blue sphere on its base, then went back to the beginning and put the yellow one on its (disembodied) base. The door-opening cutscene didn't play until I went back to the area in front of the door, which is interesting.
EDIT: Also editing the level in that way causes a pirate head in both my Windows VM and Wine. I do wonder why.
