Things in movies/shows that scared you as a kid

Since a game version already exists, I thought it would only be reasonable to create a movie styled thread that uses the same concept.

Do you remember anything that scared you as a kid in any film/show?

I personally remember the movie Corpse Bride for terrifying me when I was young, the movie is fairly light-hearted from what I recall, but the whole scenery I remember for really disturbing me. Another one was the scene with Judge Doom's reveal as a toon in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, with that high pitch voice and those freakishly animated eyes... and lastly the one that everybody mentions, the Nazis melting in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

We had a Nightmare Fuel thread even before that, but I suppose there are subtle differences.

Anyway… As a kid I hated fire. So any time there was a fire in a soap opera or anything like that, I'd be afraid to watch that show from then on. There were also graphic ads at one point that I guess had the purpose of horrifying people into making sure their smoke alarms were working. Also any ad that used "hell" to make its point, of which there were a few.
Also there was a silly kids' show that for some reason I became afraid to watch after a character fainted.

Hmm...I looked at thread, and I found it interesting, i might bump it in the future since I have quite a bit to say about the topic...

But can movies we watched recently also be acceptable? Just wondering.

So years back when I was younger I watched this movie about 8 or something people got stuck in an elevator and one by one, the characters got killed while being stuck in the elevator for hours, except for 2, one of whom was apparently the devil and had killed off the other characters due to their sins, while the other asked for forgiveness or something like that and was spared. Kinda scarred me for a few years afterwards, and even today I still am nervous when getting on elevators. I got stuck on them twice, though in one instance it was because I stood there texting on my phone and forgot to press the button for 10 minutes...

Hmm, I can't remember anything in the movies/shows I watched as a kid that scared me. I did however have a scary dream where this character from the original Shrek came running at me in the night. I guess that counts.

For some mysterious reason, the giant spiders in Harry Potter also had a bit of a nightmare effect on me as a kid. Though it only lasted a few days, it was because they were so big. Imagine those things chasing you in a dark forest in the night. Scary.....

Reminds me of the time I was stuck on the Aragog boss fight in the videogame adaptation of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I seem to recall I had a dream where I finally defeated him and then he turned into a giant version of Peeves and said he really was the "beast" we were looking for after all. (My first exposure to the series was through this game so I had no idea who/what the real monster was at this stage.)

Omg the fear I had for the spiders actually came from a game on a Harry Potter DVD, when if you went the wrong way on the Regalia and crashed the spiders would come and get you, was a bit scary.

The moths, god gave me and give me an insurmountable fear, if I see a my adrenaline is activated instantly
