Personally, I think both actually fit in pretty well, considering they're based on characters that are already a part of the Rayman universe(Razorbeard and Ly), the problem is that they also don't have a reason to exist.
Probably just me thinking they don't fit in because I haven't seen the actual game yet which I'm still waiting on it to arrive. I'd imagine they just have no story to them no background etc.
Edit: Not even that, kind of more they don't benefit you by being in the game? I might be still wrong but I'll see when I play it. I did even think Ly looked a bit odd at first (literally just at first glance) because it was my first time seeing a character with that style but I quickly adapted to it and Rayman 2 does have a good story tbh. It's better than 3 in that way imo but 3 is way more replayable due to the scoring system.

I got Rayman Advance, Rayman 3 GBA and Rayman 10th Anniversary for PS2.
I can find out what this Tily character is all about now. I can honestly say though that after playing Rayman 2 it already bothers me that Tily took Ly's place in Rayman M before even trying it

Though I plan to play this game eventually, I don't have to play Rayman M to see what a sad excuse for a replacement character this Tily is. And honestly, I think they were better off using Ly since she's SO much more beautiful and graceful than Tily is. I think whenever i have some time I would like to post a contribution, just don't know when.
