Hm, in that case, < will need some time to start, so go ahead you guys and start without <.
< has to go mow the lawn now.

Re: The You Game!
That's <'s only problem with having such new hardware. Now that ^ mentions that, <'s computer has a PS/2 port funny enough that < could have used to fix it
Oh well at least it's fixed now

< has posted an actual question for the first time in the M&U thread. < doesn't know how people who look at it will react though

Re: The You Game!
< can't believe that Windows 7 needs a PS/2 mouse and keyboard. Seems Windows really was stuck in the stone age until very recently. As Microsoft is (finally!) modernizing the OS it's inevitable that they'll break old unmaintained games (which by their nature talk more directly to the hardware than other programs). < doesn't actually blame Microsoft that Rayman 2 is broken, < blames the tradition of binary-only games that break after a generation or two, at which point the only people with access to the source code have moved on to newer things. < would go so far as to consider Windows 10 a good OS if it weren't for the phone-home anti-features.
In other news, < received the second-hand motherboard from Germany yesterday and installed it this afternoon. Finally <'s CPU isn't overheating when loaded!

Re: The You Game!
< doesn't hate Win10 either, < doesn't actually mind, even though it still has its errors and not just gaming-wuse. < guess it's not for all people.
< has finally determined that the sound channel in <'s VBA 1.8.0 disappears in <'s R1 GBC Rom when < has Rayman duck. Very mysterious indeed....
< remembers when < learned, at 8-9 years old and then improving as < continued. < still can't seem to get any higher than 87-88 WPM, however. < needs to practice some more...

OOh, learning to touch type, eh? Good luck ^!Ambidextroid wrote:<'s learning to touch type, < thought < was doing alright at first but getting used to some of these keys is tricky. < keeps mixing up O and U...

< is wondering about thay keylogging stuff Windows 10 supposedly is as < has heard about that so many times in the past and again just recently.

Re: The You Game!
With the weird sound channel dropping out? Probably < says. As < said before it doesn't affect gameplay much at all.
When < was doing <'s Rayman Advance videos, < noticed that the intro would be missing sound channels too, and this instance also occured when < saved a game.

Re: The You Game!
< will have to check that later for ^ after < picks <'s computer up and puts it through the triple glazed window then goes to the shed to get a sledgehammer and finish it off
Re: The You Game!
< is off to a great start with the challenge.

Re: The You Game!
Well, under "Privacy Settings" it's impossible to turn telemetry completely off, except on the Enterprise edition. WireShark has shown that this telemetry involves sending encrypted data back to Microsoft every 5 minutes on some unsecured port. Because it's encrypted there's no real way of knowing what exactly is being sent. There are hacks and workarounds to thwart it, but one needs to change strategy for that every few updates it seems.Steo wrote:< is probably stuck with it or at least 8.1 since <'s PC seems to be just too new

Maybe < shouldn't be concerned about it but < just thought it was a bit odd.
