Re: The You Game!
< says Éric Chevalier on Spotify is definitely the same god who made the music for Rayman 2. His style is unique and recognisable to the ONE WHO WILL INHERIT HIS POWER.
< likes his game music (aka Rayman 2) a lot more, but < can tell that it might be a bit "much" for TV show music, which all of the works < has listened to so far seem to be for.
< wonders if he'll ever do game music again. < hopes so. < needs more Sanctuary of Rock and Lava, the Woods of Light, the Fairy Glade and ... GAH all the musics~!! in <'s life.

< can't get <'s controllers to work properly on Linux as of yet but < managed to launch the UbiArt games with the only noticeable glitch being some missing sound effects.

Re: The You Game!
< is delighted that ^^ has made that discovery!
< has noticed the issue with missing sound channels in Origins. < can't pinpoint when that started, but it used to work perfectly. Although unless you're using Wine Staging with the Gallium Nine patch, "long" sprites are invisible, making it unplayable in many places. Fortunately that doesn't affect Legends, though < isn't sure where that is on the sound front at the moment.

Re: The You Game!
< actually noticed that on the world map but wasn't entirely sure < was just imagining things.
< was actually looking into Gallium Nine last night so maybe that's worth a try then. < will just use trial and error to try fix the sound. < needs to sort out the Xinput driver too but for now getting the game to work would be nice.

Re: The You Game!
< says Gallium Nine is troublesome if you're on an NVIDIA card, since for it to work you need to be using the nouveau driver, which otherwise has subpar performance.
Re: The You Game!
< will have to look into it as < recalls installing the Nvidia driver. < is using Lutris and DXVK. Legends launches through Uplay but Origins is finicky and needs to be launched standalone to work otherwise it reports a sound driver error.

Re: The You Game!
Hmm. Switching between NVIDIA and nouveau usually ain't trivial. (You're looking at the guy who accidentally executed Fifo's location while trying to streamline the process!
:boonteuf:) < wishes you the best of luck with that, though as < said Legends shouldn't need anything special. < remembers having to jump through hoops to get it to launch from Uplay in 2014, but when the new client came out it became much more well-behaved.

< feels your pain! < hopes you had a backup atleast.
Re: The You Game!
< will just try purge the Nvidia driver then try figure out Gallium NIne. < hopes to figure it out because being able to run Linux and play a few games still would be cool.

Re: The You Game!
< indeed did not have a backup. Don't you remember the sorry tale? < can laugh about it now, but that was the only time < really cried in God-knows-how-long. < does take backups now, though not as regularly as perhaps < should. Re: The You Game!
< find out that Rabbids Invasion was renewed for a fourth seasons.
< find this season pretty decent than the previous one (and < still hope a Rayman cameo).

Wow. Well atleast you’re fine now.PluMGMK wrote:< indeed did not have a backup. < hopes Steo resolves his Linux issues.
Re: The You Game!
Thanks ^
< has managed to uninstall the Nvidia drivers and now just has to get Noveau up and running again. < already has Gallium 9 and wine installed.

Re: The You Game!
< doesn't remember things being that smooth on Ubuntu, though the PPAs have probably come a long way since then!
Re: The You Game!
Yeah < thinks they're doing a really good job on them after doing some research. < has managed to fix the Nouveau drivers and get wine staging set up. It's no longer missing sprites but seems kinda choppy now despite working better yesterday. Maybe < has done too much messing about and caused conflicts and stuff.
Either way <'s sure that's fixable and < would just need to sort out the sound then figure out the controller
