Re: Rayman 1
Wow, you tested them already? Hmmm....I should try another version then.
Re: Rayman 1
60Hz should be identical to the NTSC versions on those games so in theory it should work. GameCube wouldn't work for me if I remember right and all the rest did.The Jonster wrote:Wow, you tested them already? Hmmm....I should try another version then.
That's a shame about R1 PAL though, I like the resolution and I'm used to the game but it's so much slower than the NTSC version.
Re: Rayman 1: SNES ROM is available
Ya, I know that Rayman SNES ROM was found by Ancel by himself and uploaded by his friend;Steo wrote:Other people struggle with Picture City too surprisingly. Even some people that don't struggle with it still hate it. I actually like Picture City though.
I'm so far behind, that I didn't actually know there was a dumped ROM of the early unfinished SNES version.

But the link is now dead. I happily saved the file, if you forum people like to play it with SNES emulator here's my link;

Enjoy this Rayman prototype.
Re: Rayman 1
Cool. I actually want to try it out. I guess it's better to download it and keep it somewhere safe
EDIT: I wonder would this work on my SNES flash cart so I can try it in a real SNES

Re: Rayman 1
I don't know if it is just me but was Rayman Classic removed from the Android's Google Playstore in it's entirety? Decided to redownload the game again to play it and it wasn't listed in the search results on the app. I tried looking for it through the Play Store website it couldn't find it either.
Re: Rayman 1
Yeah it's gone. You'll have to look through your Play Store download history to get it again. You used to be able to do that with removed apps last time I checked. It was removed a couple weeks ago for some unknown reason.Raymanarenaps2 wrote:I don't know if it is just me but was Rayman Classic removed from the Android's Google Playstore in it's entirety? Re: Rayman 1
So recently some dudes in the rayman twitch speedrun community made a rom hack of this game that makes Rayman on the PSX dark like eat at joe's the entire game. We did a big community race together and I was able to finish. Can see all the info , and the download link in the description. Thought you guys might be interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kHiIcyXSNg

Re: Rayman 1
Hmm a R1 hack that makes the entire game dark, now THAT would be a really interesting challenge.
Btw welcome!

Re: Rayman 1
That might get interesting on Picture City

But welcome back anyways!
Re: Rayman 1
I finished it and its definitely more difficult than the rom hack that replaces ground tiles with slippery tiles. Pan screen in the dark is completely trial and error and you tend to go too fast for the light to keep up with. Lost 70 lives to it. Gong Heights cloud tiles also dont appreciate the filter dark gimmick comes with.Steo wrote:Welcome also. I feel like this would be fun to try but very unfair too
Kind of don't mind myself though. I've played this game over a thousand times from speedrunning it and the change of pace was very refreshing. Some screens are far more difficult to complete than others.
Edit: Just wanted to point out that that IS my youtube account. Bomber123 used to be my old handle which I have since changed to Glackum. No idea how to fix it on here though.

Re: Rayman 1
I'm thinking like picks for example or lava rocks, but I guess if you've completed the game so many times then you'll be used to it anyway.
Re: Rayman 1
Yeah I know the placement of lava rocks, and they make sounds when they land so theyre *generally* not as bad. I walked into silent enemies on more than a couple occasions.Steo wrote:I'm thinking like picks for example or lava rocks, but I guess if you've completed the game so many times then you'll be used to it anyway.
Not sure what you mean by picks though.

You suddenly reminded me of Cut's Discord group, which I have never posted on oddly enough.

Ah these.Steo wrote:Picks are those things https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Pick
They make a lot of noise so they're not that bad.
