Anyone aware of the 91 track soundtrack on GOG.com?

Post by AniCator »

EDIT: Never mind this post. I just friggin' found out that the new soundtrack has been uploaded and the tracks are included in there. :( I no longer feel special.
One thing I am wondering. Did you guys just recompress the MP3s to FLAC files? That's pretty useless you know.

Hey guys,

I'm currently downloading Rayman 2 from GOG.com because my original Rayman 2 is too old for Windows 7.
Now here's the interesting thing. It has bonus content. Including a 91 track sized soundtrack.

Has anyone been aware of this?

One thing I noticed is that the 'Riding the Lava' track is 33 seconds in there and it's called 'The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, Part 2'.
And The Precipice has a great intro on this soundtrack and is split up into three parts.
There's a lot more complete tracks.

The Top of the World track has also been split up into two. The actual ride track and the one where you entry the building which sounds a lot more complete.
We must get these exclusives on RayTunes.

I'm writing this post as I'm going through these so it could be a bit funny to read considering I keep on discovering tracks.
It also includes the jingles like the Game Over and Try Again sounds and some weird jingles called 'ray' and 'outro1'.

More shit here! Full two parter of 'The Prison Ship'!
'The Menhir Hills' has an intro as well. (the track that is played when you ride the shell in the Menhir Hills)
There is also a 'The Menhir Hills, Part 2'. Oh yeah! This rocks!

I'd feel a bit naughty uploading these though so I want to be sure people want it.

Kind regards.

It's not the same soundtrack. The one that was in the GOG version was ripped from the PC version by Synthesis. The one on RayTunes now is ripped by me. Most of the tracks are from the DC version (because the quality is higher than in the PC version), others from the PS2 version, some from the PC or even the PS1 version. It's also far more complete and lossless. The files aren't converted from MP3 to FLAC but from the original wave files to FLAC (for the flac version) and from the original wave files to mp3 (for the mp3 version). That means there's no quality loss caused by converting the files - at least in the FLAC version. :)

I'll have to ditch my old RayTunes Rayman 2 soundtrack then for maximum nostalgia. :p
At least I've got a Rayman 2 that works on my Windows 7 64-bit system now. :D
