For anyone who doesn't get it.

Unfortunately Windows converts desktop wallpapers to JPEG which causes all kinds of artefacts on pictures with high frequency like this, so I had to go into regedit and change the desktop image destination to a PNG

Funnily enough my friend was watching this on his phone in the lab as he worked a couple of weeks ago, and I was enjoying it too! (Right after we'd decided to ban phones in the lab, mind you )

Somehow I didn't know that.
Also I notice you're still using Apache OpenOffice. Out of curiosity, any reason not to have switched to LibreOffice?

No reason really, I'm not too familiar with either program so when I needed a Word alternative OpenOffice was the first thing to come to mind. I usually use Google Docs now anyway.

You're right, there is a thread exactly like this called "What's your desktop background?" or something like that, but this one came first.

I tried to search for "wallpaper", "background" and "desktop", but none of the results were the other thread, so I just posted in this one.

I think it was "What's your computer background?" so I can understand why you didn't find it.

Thanks. I think what happened is I searched for the term "background" instead of "backgrounds".

I would have thought that this newfangled search system would recognize plurals.
