Weaken the shielded hoodlum, renew the HMF, finish off the hoodlum and take the Matuvu. Renew the lockjaw, be very quick, take a yellow gem and kill the hoodlum on the crate and sprint for the gem. You'll need to use dives to make it.

2 separate combos. The first is 1560 then the next one is the big one.

Yes, that could work! :D

I found a new combo for the warehouse area i could try but I don't think I could put into real practice without restarting several billion times. :?

This is what I do. Ironically I got a Lums glitch on the first hoodlum, but the second hoodlum would make it 11k if the Lums glitch had happened on that one. Alternatively you can convert the Lum first and if you get 2, kill the hoodlum instead of taking the Matuvu and take the gem quickly. That would get you 10k and gives the option to still take the Matuvu if he only gives 1 Lum.
EDIT: Fixed it, it's 60fps now.

I decided to share these to people who want to improve their score. I only have 1 so far cuz I'm still working on them.

The Longest Shortcut:

Edit: I'll add them all to my sig later.

I know I'll never be the best in the world, but I'm delighted that I just broke 700k with a new score on HH :hap:

I'm happy for you bro. I think you are capable enough to break 725K-750K too.

I forgot to say this yesterday, but yesterday I beat my previous score in DOTK and it's over 40K now instead of 30K! :teuf:
< knows that it wasn't a big improvement, but <'s glad that < could improve it anyway. :)

Well done :)

Every improvement is a bonus. You'll get better and better as you play. Some combos can be fairly tough and a lot of restarting can be necessary at times, I know it's not easy but I like how you're putting in the effort

Thanks.

I'm planning on doing The Bog of Murk and The Land of the Livid Dead next. Man, TLOTLD never fails to be fun! :)

Yeah same I love LOTLD and I'm currently on part 2. I gave it a break for a while because I kept messing up but I don't think it'll be that easy for me to beat 109k. I do have to replay BOM and SBTC again also. I actually like SBTC for the aesthetics but it's a hard level for scoring.

Keep up the good work and your scores will continue to improve :hap:

Thanks again. :)

Oh and also, I forgot to say I also recently improved my score on The Longest Shortcut too from 16K to 32K because I figured out how you can get more points on the shoe kart segment at the very beginning.

The only thing I found kinda disappointing about the game is that there are no Funkyboard segments after LS because those are so fun! :(

But other than that, I had no problem with it. :)

That's a really nice improvement :)

LS is another level that it's hard to get a good score on.

I owe the scoring community an apology. Despite what I said about these scores, in fact what I didn't mention was that I actually used savestates to make these, which is why I never posted this score on the HOF. Still, I know it was wrong for me to forget to mention this fact, as I've probably fooled a lot of you into thinking they were real. I'm sorry for this, I feel like I've insulted all of you when I am well aware you all worked hard for those top scores. I promise I'll give it a real go and post my scores here then.

And Aaron, I'm glad to see you are improving also!
Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing you improve! Lemme know if you need help too ;)

Well this feels weird....starting from square one again without any corrupted save and stuff like that.
But yeah, feel free to ask me for help, at least this practice run was good for something!

I mean go ahead and use save states for practice if you feel like it, myself I'd rather try legit so at least a good run will count. Just remember if you do use them not to advertise that you got an amazing score of over 800k

I have no problem trying to help others out either but some combos are tough and will require restarting level parts multiple times.

I'll keep that in mind ;)

I was actually supposed to start an R3 walkthrough at some point and I had forgotten all about it :oops2:
Nobody wants to see a video walkthrough of me repeatedly using a savestate to finish a level

You've really been coming along with your scores, Steo! I'm sure the scoring community would be proud of you, I know I am! :D
I have to keep trying hard too. I'm still recording combo videos lol and until I finish them I won't be around for a bit. (Here anyways)

Thanks :hap:

I know you'll be capable of achieving good scores yourself, you just have to put yourself to the test. I know you'll be much happier with yourself when you start getting high legit scores and that's why I wanted to help you get on the right path. As harsh as that post looked, I still done it to help you and I'm sure you understand :)

I hope to see you on the first page some day too :D
