Re: The You Game!
< thinks it's a good game and it never had a sequel. < thinks it just came out a tad bit late (1995) when the PS1 had already taken over and the Saturn was already out. It actually looks good too for a Sega Mega Drive game. It looks almost like a PS1 game despite being on older hardware. If the game had just been released a year earlier then it might have had so much more attention and gained a lot more popularity. For the people who did play it though, they all said they'd really love a sequel.

Speaking of which, < came really close to making a HL3 confirmed joke in the middle of a meeting today!Steo wrote:True actually, < had forgotten about PSP. Back in the day you needed a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick but nowadays it's as easy as counting to 3

< has the source code here if anyone's interested, though due to the difficulty of the Game Boy's VRAM it's about 80% moving sprites around and 20% game

Re: The You Game!
Ooh, < will check it out later!
< finally got the email for the mock interview < was waiting for! Though <'s nervousness is rising again since < doesn't know too much on Flexbox (though < does know CSS though so won't be too hard for <), and <'s interview will be < teaching somebody for 30 minutes on Wednesday. < hopefully just needs to calm down and focus for the next couple of days!

< just needs to use another version of Linux for now because < knows the problem < has is kernel related. It's a conflict between the Nvidia and AMD drivers more or less since < has both cards, yet < isn't good enough with Linux yet to solve the problem.

Re: The You Game!
< still can't bring <self to sleep. <'s friend is in the path of a dangerous Category 4 Hurricane (Florence) that supposedly will increase to a Category 5 by landfall when it reaches the Carolinas. < doesn't think < is going to be able to sleep, and < can't seem to concentrate on <'s studying for <'s interview on Wednesday. Maybe < should just ask the recruiter if < can postpone the "class" for next week...
Re: The You Game!
< can't sleep when people are obsessed with talking really loud on headsets
< doesn't get the Fortnite obsession to be honest, like buy a console or build a PC that costs you a fortune and then play some free game where you do the same thing over and over.

Re: The You Game!
< has finished watching all of the class videos < was given and is now thinking of how to plan to teach each aspect of Flexbox.
Re: The You Game!
< installed Linux and even got Rayman Origins and Rayman 3 to work. < has a slight problem with the mapping of the Xbox controller as in Origins the pause button won't work and he keeps running as if <'s holding RT.
Anyway <'s computer had randomly shut off and turned itself back on twice, so < turned the CPU clocks back to stock thinking maybe that was the culprit, then messed around for like an hour and a half doing stuff until the stupid piece of crap shut off again. < got seriously pissed off and is just going to bed for now before < kicks the computer around the room in anger.
Ruling this out is going to be bullcrap now and < will probably end up needing a new PSU whatever the fuck is after happening to the stupid thing

Re: The You Game!
< got an Acer Nitro 5 laptop for university. This thing's pretty damn beefy considering the price, I can even run DOOM with max graphics at 40 to 60 fps.
< has to use Windows 10, though <'s installed the Classic Shell custom start menu so the experience is almost identical to Win7

Re: The You Game!
< has beenhavingweird moments today where < is randomly waking up and falling asleep. Considering what today is for <, that's not a good thing. < hopes < will fully prepared before 3pm.
Re: The You Game!
That happens to < all the time too so < wouldn't really call falling asleep weird.
< is seriously wondering why the computer started to do this though. It would just shut off and then turn itself back on again about 5 seconds later. It's not overheating or anything so it must be that GPU messing up big time or else the PSU starting to give up. It gave no errors or nothing like it just acted as if < held the power button until it shut off and then switched it back on.

Re: The You Game!
< just wanted to check <'s notifications and a strange thing happened. When < tried to go on the forum, instead of it saying "Rayman Pirate-Community - Portal", < got an "Introduction" text on the tab rather than what would appear normally when you would visit the site which < said already (Rayman Pirate-Community - Portal). Then, when < filled in the text boxes < could go past that barrier of not being able to go on the forum, but when < could, suddenly the numbers next to where it says notifications and private messages which would show how many of them you have disappeared! Now instead of the numbers being between the square brackets like how it would be normally, now they appear inside red circles instead! This is a very little thing but < still wants to fix it.

Re: The You Game!
< thinks that there was maintenance done on the site for a little bit, which < thinks resulted in those changes ^ described (the red circles). Though on the contrary, < quite likes this change.
<'s practicing isn't going that well, < seems to always keep finishing within 10 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Though then again <doesn't think that < needs to take up all 30 minutes for the lesson as long as < gets all the points across along with a bit of live coding.

< says it seems like there was maintenance happening on the forum is all.
Edit: What change?

Re: The You Game!
<'s apologies in that case, but < just can't get used to sudden changes that well.
Re: The You Game!
< sees no numbers there at all never mind circles
