Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
Sony computer Entertainment probably didn't want to give any particular franchises any extra spotlight. If anything needs to be hacked on the PS1 Classic it is Spyro and Crash. (the first game of each game franchise.)
Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
I'm actually really surprised Rayman 1 made it onto it but Spyro and Crash didn't. Like seriously I just think the fact that Rayman made it out of 20 titles is amazing
Wow though, I remember Destruction Derby was amazing back in the day. My uncle had it and we used to always play it. The first Grand Theft Auto. I even still remember "theshit" was the weapon cheat
I also had Syphon Filter 3, but the first one seems to be on it and maybe it would be worth my while having a go at that.

well i think they didnt get in because the remakes just came out and they didnt want to ...well Make the ps1 classic sell more?Raymanarenaps2 wrote: Thu Nov 01, 2018 1:39 am Sony computer Entertainment probably didn't want to give any particular franchises any extra spotlight. i dont know how to word it
Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
I know what you're saying, but I sincerely don't think they'd really use such a strategy considering they also want this console to sell. Aside from that, these are HD remakes and look nothing like the originals which would be on the PS1 Classic.
I'm not sure what the real reason behind it is as some of the best selling titles aren't included, but maybe they just chose games that aged well. If anything it would be the opposite and they'd be thinking what's the point putting the old Crash games on it if the remakes are already out and they can use other titles people haven't revisited in years also (instead of taking up room with those games).
If anything though, Rayman 2 should be on a Dreamcast classic should they decide to make one, but personally I don't think many people are going to want the PS1 version of Rayman 2. We should be over the moon we even got one Rayman game on it and Rayman 1 is awesome

if yes tho, than give me rayman M or 3
EDIT: Sorry for doublepost
Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
Well I'd like the Xbox Classic to come out too or at least a PS2 classic in the future. The Xbox is more powerful though, but I guess it depends on the exclusives to each console and what people would prefer. Even a GameCube Classic would be cool too.

Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
I doubt Rayman Arena would make it onto such a thing.
Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
I was thinking that earlier. We'd be lucky to even see Rayman 3 make it onto something like that, never mind Rayman M/Arena.

Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
Still waiting on the N64 classic, we know that Nintendo knows what games to put on their classic consoles, even if they missed a few they did include the basic games you'd expect.
Why don't these console manufactures just make the current console and a separate console that you can download all the classic games on with online chat rooms and voice chat features like on the current consoles.
It would make these old games feel more relevant by letting these types of gamers to connect worldwide. If we just want the classics one day, then play on the classic games download console, the next day we might want something more modern, so that day we play on the modern console.

Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
That's why I have all the consoles
The Switch would be the most likely console to do such a thing. They have NES games at the minute and I guess Wii had VC. The thing is that's always going to be emulated and though it's emulated well, emulation never beats real hardware aside from what Dolphin and Cemu can to do the resolution in games.

Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
I was just reading about this now, Sony published the likes of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon back in the day, but the rights to those games have been acquired by Activision now. Tony Hawks is also an Activision game, so it's very likely that Activision is the reason behind those games not making it to the console.

Re: Rayman 2 on PS1 classic?
If there is a PS2 classic, we might get Spyro a hero's tail, and Crash the wrath of Cortex since those games had not been remastered at this time.
