rayman 2 2d light texture glitch

i have recently switched PCs and i have downloaded Rayman 2 again, however i have a glitch which i cant seem to find a solution for. basically, anytime a 2d texture that is supposed to be a light comes up, i.e. a lum or murphy's sparkly effects, it just displays as a square. sometimes the glitch is gone and everything is normal, and then in a different area in the game it comes back. im sorry if this problem has already been addressed and if im posting in the wrong place but i just couldnt find anything pertaining to this online. can someone please help?

Are you running the game with nGlide and still having this glitch? Also is it is it GoG or Uplay?

im sorry im not too sure what nglide is, its something you have to download isnt it? and its the uplay version

nGlide will likely solve your issue. You have to download and install it, then run GXsetup in the Rayman 2 installation folder and set it to use nGlide there. You might also need a DLL which is linked on here somewhere but I'll try find it for you again.

Just in case you need it, this also has to go in the DLL folder in the Rayman 2 directory

That's the required DLL for nGlide.
