< was on the HP forum and decided to share the way to fix the mono/cross channel audio the headphone jacks seem to have on a lot of IDT/beats audio models including <'s laptop. < explained briefly to edit 2 keys in the registry and they marked the post as spam? < will never be posting on their forum again if that's the way they treat people when they try to help others, just because their support is terrible and they don't want to admit their products are faulty.
If there's one thing anyone sees < do on a forum, it's try to help people and it's extremely far from spam. They actually annoyed < now.
EDIT: It seems that after < asked them why it was marked as spam they have reverted it, but it's still annoying that < spent ages trying to figure that out and they were just brushing all of <'s effort to one side when < only tried to help. < guesses all communities can't be as great as this one

< asks if ^ is having fun with ^'s Spyro: Reignited Trilogy game? < wants to get it sometime except < doesn't have the right console for it yet!
< hasn’t had time to play it yet. Mom always hogs the TV for herself. >:(
At least ^ has the game, < still hasn't bought it. < doesn't know whether to buy it on Xbox or PlayStation.
< slept for 3 hours and got woke up by smoke alarms because someone mustn't know how to not burn stuff
Also < ordered an NTSC motherboard for <'s PS2 since < has 5. That was the cheapest way < could get a console that plays NTSC PS1 games. It goes without saying that < also ordered an NTSC copy of Rayman
< also has the correct power supply in the PS2 this way so it won't blow up
< had an odd dream last night where < was clinically depressed, or at least < thinks so, even though <'s never suffered depression in real life. It ended with < having to burn spiders with a flamethrower which made < feel even more dejected.
< woke up to a phone call from someone who had found <'s "lost" keys which < had written <'s phone number on, only for it to be <'s drunk flatmate who had found <'s keys in the kitchen but forgot and thought he'd picked them up by mistake
<'s been trying out making music, < downloaded Reaper and had a tinker but <'s still having trouble learning the ropes.
< remembers being on holidays down the country and when < and <'s uncle came back from the pub, we realised we had walked past the set of steps and up the wrong ones, so we were standing outside someone else's front door
When < used to make music mainly for <'s games on Game Maker, < was just using a very basic 8 track program called Babya Logic. It's better to get used to a more advanced program from the start though really.
< doesn't really understand how laziness could lead to file deletion by an update installer though. Well okay, < has done it <'sself, but still, the Documents folder is so weirdly specific…
< read about it last month, apparently it's any local folders that have been redirected that got deleted. So there was a glitch in an April update and say you had relocated your folder to
D:\Documents
A folder would still be created that was empty in the default location
C:\Users\Name\Documents
But the problem is that their October update decided to remedy this by deleting the original folder in the default directory even if it wasn't empty. So if you moved your default Documents directory even to Onedrive and had files left in the default location, the ones in the default location were deleted on you.
< thinks it was a really stupid idea from Microsoft to delete the folders even if they weren't empty.
It wasn't only Documents, but also Downloads and Pictures etc.
< agrees, because all they would have needed to do is either leave it alone if the directory had files in it or else automatically move the files to the current directory first, then delete it.
< assumes Onedrive done most of it as using it alters the directory from the default one. < seen that a user claimed to have lost about 220gb which consisted of 23 years worth of images over it.
You would expect that to be fair. < certainly wouldn't have over 20 years of pictures saved on just one HDD in the first place regardless of Windows updates.
Though saying that, people don't expect that stuff to happen and aren't prepared for the worst.
< has unlocked all characters in Mario Kart Wii via dolphin After completing time trials for every single track in a cup.
< Decided to download this madhouse(Samurai Warriors 3)
< likes the first and second game the most. Mainly Samurai Warriors 2 for the PS2.
SW3 is not bad, it is just there are some things about it that make it painful to play.
It doesn't beat the first and second game, though. For real..
< says well done ^. < never did end up playing that game but < can just play it on <'s Wii U now if < wants, which saves a lot of hassle. The only one < ever did complete fully was Double Dash.
< is looking forward to getting that NTSC motherboard for <'s PS2 so < can play Rayman 1 the right way
