Right then, congratulations Rubber on winning 700 Tings and a special rank! :D

It's now shaping up that I could nearly start the next one on the 1st, and in so doing return to the old rhythm that Serza had. But it seems that she used to do seven-day voting periods – not sure how that ended up becoming ten days. :oops2: Also it looks like the next one's going to be Freestyle, despite the fact that it's December…
I don't know guys, thoughts? Should we break the rules and make it a Christmas/Winterfest one? And should we go back to seven-day voting periods?

Congrats Rubber!

I think we should bend the rules and get that festive spirit going :noel:

Also yeah, we should go with 7 day voting periods because it makes more sense. At least while we bend one rule we'll be addressing another :hap:

Hmm... I don't know, I think that could wait until the actual start of Christmas.

But the problem with that is the contest runs for 2 weeks and then voting opens for a week, so by the time the deadline is reached, it will be the 14th/15th and when voting ends it will be the 21st, then next month's will be January and too late for a Christmas theme.

I personally think that's good enough unless it's pushed forward starts a week later or something. But I'm sure as it gets closer to Christmas, people will have more to do and less time to make sigs, meaning earlier is better. Besides December is the Christmas month and people will want to wear the sigs throughout the duration of it :noel:

Oh, I get it now! Then I agree with that idea, let's do it! I have an idea then. How about the deadline being the 25th? I know I can't decide when the deadline will be, it was just a suggestion.

That would mean the voting would end on the new year's day and a new freestyle one would have to start right away. The deadline would probably have to be Christmas eve even at that so I think a little earlier would be better and Plum won't have to rush into it all during the holiday season

I know where you're coming from though wanting it to be closer to Christmas.

Well, I'm thinking of starting it tomorrow, then the deadline can be the 17th, and the voting can end on Christmas Eve.

There have been no further objections, so let's do it! :noelfou: And taking another leaf from Serza's book, we're tripling the Ting awards. :noel:
