I always try to get a good score at the beginning then I do bad on one level and just completely give up. 😂 That's part of the reason I'm not collecting them on my walkthrough.

I lost count of how many times I had to restart some parts. I think I spent about 4 hours restarting The Fairy Council part 3 until I finally got the 3 Matuvu combo. :P

Yeah I'm pretty sure nobody liked that. Maybe if they translated it the way Plum said above then people wouldn't have been so mad with Murfy's claim.

Punching Globox is definitely fun, whether it be through Rayman's or a Hoodlum's shot. Also I like watching Globox attempt to open the doors in the Longest Shortcut. it's just so silly watching him say "Neeh. Neeh. Neeh!" among other things. In fact I used to have a quote on my sig of Globox telling Rayman to play somewhere else whenever he gets in the way.
I agree, Globox is pretty funny and the things he says are not just funny, but also interesting in my opinion. :)

I think he's just great in all of the games. :D

Some of his quotes are deadly and a lot of them. Are actually still missing from the wiki.

Yeah, for example:

"Rayman, over here, quick, untie me! All the blood is rushing to my head...feels...weird...I'm starting to feel more intelligent...HELP!"

That post I made earlier just makes me want to play some Rayman 3 again. I'll go to TLOTLD again some time and see if I can improve my score further there... or in other levels. :)

EDIT: I agree, Globox is indeed awesome. :)

Oh yeah I found that one really funny when he shouts "HELP!".

Simple ones I even liked such as "What the! Who turned off the nice music, hope I didn't break anything. Music, where are you?". :P

I really miss when 3D platformers were the most popular type of games because they are so fun to play. Games like Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Super Mario, Sly Cooper and lots more. Hopefully with the Crash and Spyro remakes being so popular we'll see platformers become more popular again.

I still never even completer Super Mario Odyssey yet, but I agree that those games are amazing. Crash, Spyro, Mario and Ratchet are all brilliant games. I even liked Sonic Heroes a lot when I used to play it. :hap:

Another Murfy quote came to mind just there as I listened to the Brexit news on the TV: "At Westminster tonight, the only certainty… is uncertainty."

"COME ON, don't tell me guys get paid to write this junk!"

What's also pretty funny is whenever the Manual tells Murfy stuff in the blue text box like:

"André! -You’re supposed to say that the bad guy’s called André! Stick to the script, will you??"

There's still one Manual quote from RayWiki that's missing though. I can clearly, vividly remember that there was a Manual quote in the Fairy Council (I can't remember the quote exactly but I can remember what it's about) - something about losing his job or something?

I'll have to replay the Fairy Council some time again and look at exactly what that quote was. I'll give an update when I find it.

Yeah I recall that quote being said after Murfy tells Rayman to find and destroy Andre.

I remember some quotes from Rayman 3 I can usually hear if I wait long enough in certain places. One specific example I can think of is if I wait a little in the section of FC2 where Rayman has to use the helicopter, Murfy starts calling for Globox, at one point calling him a moron. Another one is in FC3 where I wait til I defeat Andre in his hoodlum form he complains about having to hold him off from shooting with quotes like

"Where is it written that I do my own stunts?"
"Okay, okay, call in the stunt double! I QUIT!"

Or something around those lines. I found a lot of those quotes pretty funny too.

But anyways my favorite manual quote is when it first chastises Murfy for talking about paint chips and I think it says something about kids, but I could be wrong.

It tells him to watch his language because there may be kids listening. If you could be wrong, why are you saying it? Some Rayman 3 fan you are, being unsure. :P

Seriously though, just try to confirm things first if you're unsure, rather than having everyone second guessing. It's not that hard to look at a video or play the level for 2 minutes to find out.

It's also better in the French version when Murfy talks about the creators smoking instead of mentioning paint chippings.

EDIT: I love this one too "Good job, Rayman. Where would you be without you?".

EDIT2: I hadn't realised the strikeout actually looks like a smartass remark.

Rayman 2 used to be my favourite but over the years the nostalgia factor has worn off a little and I think Rayman 3 has won me over as the best title in the series. The environments have a lot more polish and it's much more replayable.

I didn't mean it to sound like that actually, my apologies. I just mean it's easier to check things sometimes rather than guessing if you're not sure, because it's happened a lot in the past too.

I guess I just had a little flashback to an older post, where everything used to be "hmm, I'm not sure". I'm sorry if that looked hostile.

EDIT: The Rayman 3 fan part was a joke though clearly. ;)

EDIT2: Why does the board index say ^ is the last poster when I posted after ^?

I was going to say, yes I know what ^ was talking about and I'm sorry too. I should have double checked first before making claims that I'm not sure of.

Please don't take that the wrong way. Even if he does sound a little harsh, I know he means well. :)

I'd be damned if I didn't catch that R3 joke the first time though

Look at Ambi being all serious, making it look like I'm being hostile. He needs to chillax.

You should remember this also:

Never offensive eh? :mefiant: :P

Anyway yeah, that wasn't supposed to look hostile, but I'd just prefer if ^ keeps making contributing posts like ^ is currently doing, which is why I think confirming things first is the right thing to do in order to make a valid contribution. The same applies for myself, especially when contributing to the wiki, but ^ was actually kind of right about the quote also. :P

But as for what Ambi said, I actually like Rayman 2 more even though Rayman 3 is more replayable. I just love so many things about the game, but Origins still wins for me for it's beautiful artwork and how fun it actually is to play. Again, if I hadn't played Origins, I wouldn't have played any of the sequels, or even been on RPC at all for that matter.

I didn't mean to make things too serious, I haven't been around the forums for a while now so I apologise if I misread the mood :P
Rayman 2 has always had a place in my heart since it's defined many things about who I am, including my taste in games and art and so on. I played it at just the right age to have a profound impact on me as a person and for that it'll always be dear to me, but at the end of the day as far as videogames go, I have to hand it to R3. I think it's more fleshed out and varied as an actual game and focuses more on fun than atmosphere, but still manages to bring the mysterious quality that the previous title had. The Longest Shortcut especially has that kind of atmosphere down.

I'm just joking around, but that to Jonster was just some friendly advice, which I worded in a way that it may have unintentionally looked like bad manners from myself. :P

I love all of the main series games so much that It's just preference. I switch between them depending on the mood i'm in, but I play Rayman 2 and Origins more often than the others also. I like Rayman 3 enough to have made 767k, which I plan to improve on eventually, but Rayman 3 is one of those games where you need to be stress free to go for scores or you can easily become annoyed.

Hi also, nice to see you around Ambi. :)

I found the exact quote in a video:
