Rayman DS keeps making static noises

Post by Shadowrayman »

So recently I came across my old and dusty DS phat. It can no longer play multiplayer and does tons of random things. I hadn't played Rayman DS in years so I decided to insert the cartdrige and start playing it again, since I haven't finished the game. Whilst playing The Sanctuary of Water and Ice, Random static noises were coming from the speakers, my DS has been doing this since it started to break down. So I went to go get my fresh new DSi and see if it would make a difference. It didn't! It still makes the sounds even on the main menu screen. There is nothing wrong with my DSi and still works fine. I tried some other games and didn't seem to encounter any static noises. So it was the game cartdrige! I tried using a flashcart called M3i Zero, it was fine until I got to the Fairy Glade, it started making static noises again! I went to reboot the game to see if there was a difference, nope. No matter what I do I can't stop these loud static sounds from playing in Rayman DS, playing other games don't make any static noises at all, only Rayman DS. Please help me

If it's happening on 2 different DS consoles along with both a legit copy of the game and a flash cart, I'm sure it's a glitch within the game itself. Rayman DS and Rayman 3D aren't known for being the best ports out there.

Oh yeah I have heard about how it has lots of glitches, but when I played it in the past I never encountered a glitch like that before. You probably don't have a DS, but have you tried out the game to see if any static noises have occurred?

I do have a 3DS and there's also a DS Lite and DSi here. I also own Rayman DS, so I'll check it out tomorrow and see if any abnormalities occur.

I'd say that, but he tried 2 different DS consoles and tried the retail game along with a flash cart.

The static doesn't always happen, sometimes happens randomly and sometimes when Rayman gets hit or swims in water.
