Rayman or Asterix - which is most popular?

Which is more popular, Rayman or Asterix? They are both french.

I think Rayman 3 must be the best English dub in history (yes it is a dub, the original alnguage is french)

Not that it even makes sense to compare those 2 titles, but I'm pretty sure a lot of members here are from Europe, along with other Rayman fans that aren't here. Rayman was actually designed by Michel Ancel, who is from Europe.

Would have thought Asterix would be more well known given that it's been around since the 60s (12 Tasks of Asterix is a great movie BTW). It wouldn't shock me if Asterix had some kind of influence on Rayman games though (the whole Globox and plum juice thing for example).
