Rayman 3 PC Demo Versions
After learning of the existence of several Rayman 3 Demos, for the PC, some of which have unique content, I spent some time searching and downloaded an archive containing 4 versions:
https://mega.nz/#!vBtkWAIJ!EU8LYPGSQLMx ... m96jfG1xWA
The first two versions, dated 2002-10-01 and 2002-10-21 are the "Beta" demo with the earlier designs, different sounds and trailer. It includes 'Dangerous Game' (CF 3) and 'Special Invaders' (TTOTL 3) levels. There are differences in some of the files between the two versions, but I could spot no differences in gameplay, so I'm not sure these should count as separate demos.
The version dated 2002-12-09 keeps the same 2 levels, and adds a third one ('Bad Sauce' - TFC 2), also bringing the level design, graphics, voices and music close to the final version.
The last one is dated 2003-06-01 completely removes the two levels from the beta demo, replacing them instead with TLS 3 ('Bad Sauce') and TLOTL 2 ('Highland Drifters'). The TFC 2 level is still there, now called 'Dangerous Game'. Again, all levels in their final form or close to it.
The last two demos, even having vastly different content, use the same product code in the installer, so if you try to use the provided SETUP.EXE, you can only install one at a time, since a repeated call to the installer triggers 'Repair/Remove'; fortunately, the installer is not required at all - it is enough to just copy all files and folders under "program files\Ubi Soft\Rayman3" into any directory on your PC and run it from there.
So far I do not know of any Rayman 3 Demo for the PC that has the levels of the original E3 Demo. Actually only in the original E3 demo do the level names make sense - 'Bad Sauce' is Begoniax chasing you around her cauldron, and 'Dangerous Game' is the level in Razoff's mansion where he is hunting you (the 'game').
If such a demo was ever released to the public, it would be cool to find it.

Re: Rayman 3 PC Demo Versions
I have not fully played the 2002-10-21 demo yet, I will try to find any differences in comparison to previous one (that is also the reason why this demo is still not mentioned in the article).
Ribshark said on his post that there's the fifth demo, but he doesn't have it. From the Rayman 3 HD files, it's known that there's also one unused demo level logo named "sk8". It's first Teensie Highway (deduce based on the name of the level in the prototype and look of the logo) but it wasn't presented in any way. I also heard on the internet about a released demo with Razoff mansion (most likely not E3 preview) but I can not confirm it.
It's also hard to say which discs were dumped. Besides sources of the demos from the article, Haruka was also writing about "Quick - Le Menew" Promo CD DEMO (demo from a restaurant or something like that) and a lot of people on YT are mentiong McDonald's demo.
I think E3 demo will someday show up on the internet on some beta stuff forum or on the Ebay. I would like to play it.

Re: Rayman 3 PC Demo Versions
I'm not sure if it's necessary if it's already dumped. PS2 demos from Rayman Revolution, OPS2M U.S. 67 and OPS2M (euro) Demo 31 are already accessible on webpages.StelzenBomber wrote: Fri Feb 01, 2019 6:42 pm if i knew how to, i could dump a ps2 version of the rom
Unless you have something not mentioned in the article.

Re: Rayman 3 PC Demo Versions
I do remember seeing the McDonalds demo disc not too many years ago in a second hand store but I did not have enough time to buy it.
The back was in swedish and it showed pictures of the levels featured I think. The disc was blue and had several enemies from the game on it. The levels if I remember correctly looking at the back were from the final demos (TFC 2, TLOTL 2 and TLS 3). I so regret not buying it

Re: Rayman 3 PC Demo Versions
Well, that makes sense. Thank you. And thanks for putting this archive here – I've had enough nightmares about Rayman 3 demos that I might as well play one for real.dr_st wrote: Thu Jan 31, 2019 4:44 pmSo far I do not know of any Rayman 3 Demo for the PC that has the levels of the original E3 Demo. I think it actually could be Rayman 3 demo from Rayman M:raymanrules77 wrote: Fri Feb 01, 2019 10:40 pm I do remember seeing the McDonalds demo disc not too many years ago in a second hand store but I did not have enough time to buy it.

Something like a year ago I found a Rayman demo on a German trade website with the same levels as you mentioned (the guy did a photo). I remember it was this disc (or similar). So maybe it was not really McDonald's demo. I think the content of McD demo was the Special Invaders and Dangerous Game, because guys on YouTube are mentioning them.
Btw I now noticed this DandyGuy's photo of Rayman 3 demo is the third one from December (download link is not working but GOT4N wrote about it).

Re: Rayman 3 PC Demo Versions
Maxell? Is that counterfeit or what?
Re: Rayman 3 PC Demo Versions
I think it's just a disc producer/publisher for this demo.

Re: Rayman 3 PC Demo Versions
I don't think it's that one. I had another demo disc that I got when I was very little, my parents don't remember where they got it from as it was way back in 2002-2003. I remember it had a hoodstormer on the disc. Another thing about the disc I found at the second hand store is that the paper sleeve was red I just remembered that.
Re: Rayman 3 PC Demo Versions
I got a copy of this recently. Reminding myself to get around to giving it a try...
Edit: Confirmed that the contents of this CD is identical to the 2002-10-21 demo mentioned in the first post.
