Not quite. I'll give another clue to help narrow it down.

Clue #2: This sharp object appears in 3 main series games.

Clue #2A: The games it appears in are all 2D.

Clue #2B: It only appears in one version of Rayman 1 and also in Rayman Designer.

Let me think...i think the 2 flying enemies in rsyman 3 (forgot the name, they have a boss like health bar) have spikes
