As Plum said, Corcaí is pretty close to Corcaigh which is Cork, and that's why it's kinda funny. We have a County named Cork here.

Well there's a clear difference between "The Peak of Cork" and "The Toad Swamps".

"Buafach" is a neologism meaning "toady", the same as "crapoteux" in the original French. Also Cork is so-called because it's built on marshy land (a flood plain in fact), so that's the connection. That's why the city's always flooding (though mercifully not lately, when I've been going through it).

The Jonster was banned for having Rayman in his Rayman 2 appearance over the Bog of Murk. If you're not careful my current Rayman 2 playthrough could end up in the Bog of Murk.
