Re: The You Game!
< has decided that < is going to dual-boot Linux and Windows 7 from now on, and only use Windows for games that < can't get working properly in Linux. < likes how < can actually learn things while using Linux, and it's especially handy with it being completely free. It's even better how you're not forced to use a certain Distro unlike how people are forced to upgrade to Windows 10.

Re: The You Game!
< wonders if < will be able to bring <'sself to install Windows 10 on <'s mother's laptop when that happens, or if < can make another attempt at a Linux conversion…

< wonders if there is a way to alter <'s Windows 10 so that < can minimise as much privacy violation as possible from Microsoft.
Re: The You Game!
< thinks a lot of people seem to get confused because certain programs have alternatives which people aren't used to. If someone mainly just browses the Internet then < assumes they'd adapt to Linux.PluMGMK wrote: Wed Jul 24, 2019 9:25 pm < wonders if < will be able to bring <'sself to install Windows 10 on <'s mother's laptop when that happens, or if < can make another attempt at a Linux conversion…
< says there's ways, but Windows 10 was built with telemetry in mind, so < isn't 100% sure it will ever give you the privacy it claims to. < knows there's a way to disable it in the registry or by disabling services, or if one has Enterprise edition then it can just be disabled easily. The Jonster wrote: Wed Jul 24, 2019 9:35 pm < wonders if there is a way to alter <'s Windows 10 so that < can minimise as much privacy violation as possible from Microsoft.![]()

Re: The You Game!
< is mildly curious as to why nobody's voting in SOTM.
Re: The You Game!
< will vote in a minute.
Re: The You Game!
< is playing Rayman Origins on Linux since < actually managed to get it working properly.

Re: The You Game!
< had a window break yesterday because of the wind.
Re: The You Game!
< says that sucks.
At least it still can't be as broken as Windows 10.
< woke up a few times then went back to sleep. < seen that it was 10:15am according to the clock on the wall, but then when < checked <'s phone, < realised it was after 3pm.

< says that seriously sucks, man!
Just because of the wind though? The wind was strong enough to break windows? Oh man....

Not quite, <'s window slammed in the wind and it broke the glass.Aaron wrote: Wed Jul 31, 2019 5:14 pm Just because of the wind though? The wind was strong enough to break windows? Oh man....
Re: The You Game!
Oh. That's horrible, < says.
Re: The You Game!
That happened to one of <'s relatives before. One of <'s uncles only got new windows, and then <'s cousin left their window open. The wind caught it, it slammed and the glass broke.Hunchman801 wrote: Wed Jul 31, 2019 5:37 pm Not quite, <'s window slammed in the wind and it broke the glass.
<'s sure he would've been pissed, especially since they were only new.

Re: The You Game!
< wasn't particularly pissed but it's annoying to waste time on the phone as well as a 100€ deductible over something so stupid.
Re: The You Game!
< knows what ^ means, it's annoying since it's something that could have been easily avoided, but instead it costs money to fix. < has made stupid mistakes while trying to fix things in the past too where it came out of <'s pocket since it was <'s fault.
< will never forget when < was only a new member here and < put the longer screw in the GD-ROM drive by accident, and straight through the Dreamcast motherboard. < was pissed, because < had been enjoying Rayman 2 and just wanted to change the fan, then < was left with no Dreamcast and had to buy a motherboard from the US.

Re: The You Game!
< feels your pain. < wonders if the Second Law of Thermodynamics could be expressed in terms of money spent fixing one's own silly mistakes.
Yesterday < found <'sself doodling absent-mindedly at work, and ended up drawing something looking vaguely like an angry Viking's head, but with the Second Law of Thermodynamics written where the face should be…

Re: The You Game!
< always gets annoyed at <'s self when < accidentally breaks something like an eejit.
< has been able to make a lot of progress with using Linux lately. < now uses it as <'s main OS instead of Windows, which has become an abomination.

Yeah, < agrees.
No but in all seriousness, < thinks it would be great!
