I had voted Chrome and that's the one I got used to, a browser is a browser as long as it's not Internet Explorer.

Firefox because that's what all the cool kids used 15 years ago, and there hasn't been any reason for me to switch to something else.

I used it on XP back in the day when I first got internet. I'm not sure what convinced me to switch to chrome, but I went back to Firefox after using Linux, since it was included with it.

The reason I actually have 7 now is I used to have XP too but I destroyed it because I downloaded one of those screen recorders where you have to put in the USB for it to "record" but it was a virus. I'm actually partially glad it happened though because if it wouldn't have happened, I wouldn't have 7 now. :)

I think I'm definitely adding this one to my collection!

qutebrowser still hasn't gone through with deprecating QtWebKit support, and yesterday someone pointed out that it's a lot more portable with WebKit than WebEngine, in that it can run on POWER, ARM, etc. More convincing argument that "don't trust Google" (since WebEngine is based on Chromium code).

I used XP right up until support ended and more or less skipped Vista, since I rolled back to XP at the time.

I gave up on Windows after the first few Windows 8 previews, which I did try briefly.

I used 8 and 10 for a couple of years, then when I heard about Windows and the telemetry stuff, I realised that I didn't want to use it anymore, then more reasons to dislike it started to pop up.

Linux – specifically Linux from Scratch, although I used Debian before, and Ubuntu and Mint before that.

I'm on Debian myself, I wouldn't have a clue how to even get something to work on LFS.

It's been a long, sometimes painful learning experience, involving borking up and eventually accidentally erasing my first attempt at a system, after one year! The new one's been running smoothly for two and a half years though! :)

It's amazing that you have that much experience with the OS though. I have a habit of breaking things on mine and not knowing how to fix it. In fact, Debian was stuck in a tty for me, then I realised that all I needed to do was at "conrib non-free" to the end of the lines in sources.list. :P
