Re: Record day compilation
If you mean the records for today. The stuff should be shared out momentarily. I imagine it would take quite a time to gather up what was done past few hours.

Re: Record day compilation
I said yesterday it's all about people, and it looks like I was 67.65% correct, at least speaking in terms of variances.
Re: Record day compilation
It looks like it's a mixture of people and manpower. If a few people are well into the thousands, that makes a huge difference. More people definitely helps, because even if 2 people were to post like crazy, they'd run out of things to talk about very quickly.

Re: Record day compilation
I agree with that point. If there was a lot of people I'm sure me and ^ would probably have even more than we made last year. Still, as long as participation is low for these events I'd rather spend the events enjoying conversations with others. Although I did speed up near the end I still made sure to stay unique with posting instead of the random generic posts I used near the end, which includes all the music I posted
Re: Record day compilation
Yes I definitely agree with both of these points perfectly. Although < did feel very tired through a bit of RD and it's true that RD does create a false impression that you're sick for a bit because I honestly felt the same too yesterday, it was good and enjoyable for the most part and I don't feel that way anymore.
Re: Record day compilation
I think it's mainly from spending an extensive amount of time on the computer staring at the screen for so long.
Re: Record day compilation
Yea that could be it.

It helps that nobody complained this year too about anyone and everyone was having a good time.

I guess we're in the dark age of the RPC (here is a graph I made).

Dark times indeed! But thankfully, the amount of fun remained high.

Re: Record day compilation
Looking back on past Record Days, it looks like this year was actually the first year (for me anyway) that it was held on a July. Every year before that has been on a a day in August. Interestingly, there were also a couple years that RD was not held in the summer (the first year being a prime example of this).

Re: Record day compilation
Nice, you beat him. I guess I did too. Also, Elite Piranha, are you planning on making an updated graph?
I'm also glad that as many people as 18 made it.
It wasn't a big year as far as posts go but I had a lot of fun. Wow, and the end was crazy.

Re: Record day compilation
Wow 2014 was a huge year for the RPC, sheesh!
What happened to stuff like that? I mean...I haven't heard any Rayman news in a long time though. That probably has something to do with it.

Re: Record day compilation
I've got some graphs!
Here's the updated version of Elite's graph: Here's a graph of participants versus time of year:The most- and least-attended Record Days were all held on the same weekend, so there's nothing intrinsically wrong with having it in early July!
Posts versus time of year:The most successful Record Days were held a little later in the year…
Posts versus participants:It's really people that make all the difference…
And finally a personal graph:Every year I'm posting less but it's a bigger proportion of the total
I've also attached my spreadsheet in case anyone else wants to mess with it

I think there's the lack of Rayman news, and the fact that forums like this are getting really old-fashioned (versus the likes of Discord and social media).CosmicStrider wrote: Sun Jul 10, 2022 4:57 am Wow 2014 was a huge year for the RPC, sheesh! What happened to stuff like that? Re: Record day compilation
That's my interpretation too, and sadly, there's very little we can do against Ubisoft not releasing Rayman games as well as massive shifts in the way people communicate. All suggestions welcome, though!PluMGMK wrote: Sun Jul 10, 2022 1:20 pm I think there's the lack of Rayman news, and the fact that forums like this are getting really old-fashioned (versus the likes of Discord and social media).

Re: Record day compilation
There's advantages to the usage of forums as well. Two things I like about forums is you can take the time to write your messages, and that everything is usually more organized than in chats.
