< just decided to try Arch since people on protondb were submitting reports for games on the latest mesa. I'm not a huge fan of Ubuntu or Mint, they're too simplistic for me to learn anything, and they're filled with stuff < wouldn't need, bloating the system.PluMGMK wrote: Tue Sep 10, 2019 8:26 pm < is glad ^ got mesa working, even if it meant switching distros!![]()
< noticed a lot of things on Debian seemed to be older versions, it likely would have meant compiling all of the libs <'s self and just not using the repositories at all, but then it wouldn't have been Debian anymore anyway, it would be FrankenDebian.
< did hear that the likes of Gentoo are much more customisable, but that it also takes a lot longer to set up than Arch does. < will eventually attempt to install it for the learning experience, and as much as < would like to mess with LFS for the sake of learning, < thinks it might be years before < would manage.
