And says Q instead in French, since AZERTY keyboards are used in France.RayCarrot wrote: Thu Sep 05, 2019 5:15 pm I simplified the process of changing the button mapping in the Rayman Control Panel a lot, but yeah, still not ideal and no support for controllers either. Oddly they hard-coded the controls fully into the game, even to the point where the localization file has the buttons in the text (like when Murfy tells you to press A to jump).

Re: Rayman 2
It annoys me when the subtitles in games are worded wrong. I'm sure it causes confusion with the quotes on RayWiki too, as the subtitles and what the characters actually say can vary.
What the Teensie says: Go to the Menhir Hills, to give Clark the Elixir.
What the subtitles say: Go to the Menhir Hills to give the Elixir to Clark.
I'm sure that's just one of many in Revolution.

Re: Rayman 2
No such confusion in the original where characters only speak Raymanian.
Re: Rayman 2
I prefer the original personally, but this confusion is for RayWiki.
Re: Rayman 2
Does anyone know if the code from the PC version, where you must press the J key in rhythm with Rayman 2's theme to gain maximum health, and the Dreamcast version code, which Randomize textures, works? Because I tried to trigger them many times but nothing happened.
Re: Rayman 2
I can confirm that the random textures work on a real Dreamcast. I just tried it there and upon returning to the Isle of Doors, I seen this:ElZboub wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2019 6:25 pm Does anyone know if the code from the PC version, where you must press the J key in rhythm with Rayman 2's theme to gain maximum health, and the Dreamcast version code, which Randomize textures, works? Wait what
What is happening

Re: Rayman 2
J also works on the PC version if you do it in a rhythm where you press and release to the jingle you hear when you press a switch, as in: press, release, press, release, press, release, press. It gives the maximum possible health (as if you have all cages).
Also yeah, the random textures thing looks a bit mad.
EDIT: It works on Dreamcast too.
Using R on the Dreamcast controller instead of J and pressing it in the same rhythm actually works. Same as with N64 basically.

Re: Rayman 2
OK, somehow I've never heard of that, but when I tried to check it out just now I found Rayman 2 no longer launches on my PC. Why is everything going wrong today??
Re: Rayman 2
I honestly didn't know about it myself, but it definitely works on PC and Dreamcast.
As for everything going wrong, I hate those days and they happen far too often.

Re: Rayman 2
Whats with this "J" AND why are those txtures fed up?
Re: Rayman 2
There's a cheat on Dreamcast using the player 2 controller to press down A down B A Y X, then the next time the game loads, the textures are completely random.
Pressing and releasing J on PC (R on N64 or Dreamcast) in the same rhythm as the Rayman 2 theme (the jingle you hear upon hitting a switch etc.) fills the health bar to it's maximum size and replenishes full health.

Re: Rayman 2
Thanks a lot for your help
! For the J code I thought I had to press J for each note of the jingle, so it was normal if I didn't obtain anything, for the Random Texture mode I'll try again, maybe I'm not doing it correctly.
Re: Rayman 2
I assumed the same thing for the J code but then I tried it the other way. As for the random textures, you need to use the dpad to press down, then I just paused the game, pressed load and the textures were messed up.

Re: Rayman 2
What's the point in a random texture cheat anyway?

Dank memes material?
Re: Rayman 2
Maybe you could use it on a friend's Dreamcast so they think it's broken.

Re: Rayman 2
Really wish that would work on 3ds
Re: Rayman 2
I was thinking that yesterday, but without the option for player 2 mappings, I don't think we can test it. The R button thing to the Rayman 2 theme should work though, seeing as most other Easter Eggs were retained in Rayman 3D.
EDIT: Actually it doesn't seem to, the R button is mapped differently.
