Hello everybody, and special thanks to Snagglebee for that amazing upload.
I bought and played Rayman when I was young and it's so great to have the opportunity of playing it so easily with windows 10.

Hi everybody ! The link is down Can you post a new link ?
Rayman Optimum was removed by the host because it illegally ships all the game's files with it. The author has also ceased supporting it, and it has been superseded by Rayman Plus, which has more features and which is legal, as it requires you to own the game. If you do not own it, you can buy it on GOG.

Odd, isn't? Because to be fair the creator is preserving Rayman 60 Levels. Also, this legal stuff sounds like greedy & malicious.
That's true. Rayman 60 Levels is way too hard to obtain legally. Ubisoft should add it to their bundle of games on GOG (yeah, it's called "Rayman Forever", which didn't include it originally, but who cares!).

Tonic Trouble should go on GOG too.
Yeah, you got a point,
But you're sounded like a greedy ESA member by calling Rayman Optimum illegal and asking for buying Rayman Forever.

Well, it is illegal. It violates copyright law in basically every country.
legal doesnt mean morally correct either, also, after what ubisoft has done to the customers over the past few years, they dont deserve anyone to side with them either
their "monetization" practices are LEGAL, yet they are blatantly robbing their own customers, and probably will become illegal down the line in a couple of years anyway, so...

So what? It's your opinion only. I consider preservation like movie fan-restoration. This video tells you what I think.
was that directed to me or to the person saying it is illegal to get rayman 60levels?
Well, downloading a game without paying for it is technically illegal, that's all he's basically saying. He's not telling you not to do it, but just pointing out that it is "technically" Illegal. It's similar to downloading ROM files and emulating them, that's technically illegal too, since you're downloading the game without paying for it, but that doesn't mean people won't do it.
Where did I "defend" any nefarious practice? I simply stated a fact, like Steo said, and explained why the host removed Optimum.
Edit: What I'm saying is, things like DRM and Freemium nonsense and all that stuff upset me as much as they upset you or any reasonable person, so I resent the notion that I'm defending such things.

I see, but calling media preserving without profiting on them illegal or piracy is where defends a nefarious practice and believe. For example, my version of Rayman 1 I bought from UPlay has music but it doesn't have sound.

I know it is "technically illegal" but is media preserving so better don't think about it.
Steo & PluMGMK you call this illegal like people are cheap and don’t want to pay and they’re bad people who want to do bad things. Companies can’t always be trusted to preserve their work and make it easily available since the issue is complicated because it’s as much about preservation as it is piracy.
I'm not defending the companies either, I was just pointing out that Plum was only saying what is "technically" true is all, and that he's not trying to tell you not to do it, it's just the reason the game was removed.
When it comes to Rayman games, I agree that everything should be preserved, because it's very hard to find certain content, and most of these things really should have been released on GoG anyway.
