< reckons it's probably better to just require them as dependencies, and maybe suggest installation commands to the user if they're not found.
< doesn't normally give a monkey's about such things, but < thought of the term "Sussexit" for the whole Harry and Megan thing when < first heard about it on the way home from work last Thursday. < later heard it referred to as "Mexit" on the telly, which is snappier but excludes Harry. < wonders if anyone prefers one or the other.
< would rather have posted that in Off Topic, but that would've involved double posting.
< sees support for Windows 7 has ended, the last version of the OS that < truly liked. < will never use Windows as a daily driver again, and will only ever boot it if it's mandatory to run a program that Linux just won't run.
< is still on the first disc of FF7, it seems to be a really long game, but a fun one too.
< is reading Margaret Atwood's The Testaments at the moment. < thinks it's funny that < is able to find parallels between the character known as "Jade" and the protagonist of BG&E (she even compares herself to a dangerous video game avatar at one point). < is not inclined to think it's a reference, but still…
Speaking of funny coincidences, < was briefly discussing A-ha over in the music thread with Fifo over the weekend, then this morning as < was defrosting <'s windscreen what came on the car radio but the 2017 MTV Unplugged version of Take On Me!
More seriously, < shouldn't have bothered defrosting <'s windscreen this morning. < should have gone back to bed, got up two hours later, and worked from home. < was very relieved to get to work in one piece, with all the ice on the roads…

< actually worked from home today. < hadn't really done that before, but < managed not to slack off!
< is probably more productive at home, so long as the work is interesting.

< is trying to figure out how to work Candice into <'s current signature for the pink-themed SOTM. < should have started planning this sooner…
It's been freezing here, it dipped to -2 the other day. And no sign of snow
<'s been trying <'s hand at writing a short story. < has a pretty comprehensive idea for the plot (involving brain-computer interfacing and rogue AI) but < is struggling to make it into an interesting narrative. < blames the fact that < has read so few books...

< just remembers getting depressed working on <'s Final Year Project at home, back in <'s college days. < was happier to move on into the world of work than < had ever really expected to be.

< has been playing the Saturn version of Rayman. < wants to replace the RayWiki screenshot where the two moons can be seen, and also do some other work on RayWiki that < planned to do a a while back.
< is somehow still up right now looking up several articles, this time being Pokemon, simply bc < wishes to learn more information. < needs to stop with nighttime research but < can't seem to resist sometimes.
< needs to order a new laser for <'s Sega Saturn. <'s needed one since last year because it freezes a lot during play, but < hasn't used it in months and might as well fix it before playing it.
< is considering trying to use the MSMG Toolkit to make an image to upgrade <'s mother's laptop to Windows 10 (from 7) without all the spying anti-features. < isn't sure how well it'll work though, and knows that the toolkit doesn't exactly run on Linux…
< hears that the Black Mesa team are going to overhaul the soldiers' AI before releasing version 1.0 later this year. < reckons it'll make them more like the guys in the original, who were in the past praised for having much better AI than the soldiers in HL2! < supposes that < will need to play it again when that version comes out, though maybe < will use the Normal difficulty next time…
<'s second modded Vita kept taking compressed jpg screenshots instead of png ones and < couldn't figure out why. It turned out < accidentally had a "tai" folder under the ux0 partition along with the ur0 one, < had to delete the folder from the former and that sorted it out after a restart.
