Come to think of it, the Knowledge of the World seems to indicate that not only did he exist before "time" was created, but he also created most of the Glade's inhabitants before then. So really, Globox, Clark, Ly, the Teensies (at least the Grand Minimi), Eig – they're all aged infinity!

Re: How old is Rayman?
Lums would also be infinity then, and I assume those are the oldest magical creatures in existence, since they created Polokus iirc from the Knowledge of the World.

Re: How old is Rayman?
Arent lums just broken pieces of the heart of the world
Re: How old is Rayman?
I think they did say this in Rayman 2, how it exploded into pieces. Then again, people would also question why Origins has (a lot) more than 1,000 Lums.

Re: How old is Rayman?
Yeah i think if we did add how many lums we could potentially get in each level of Origins, there’d be tons more than 1000.

Re: How old is Rayman?
Those aren't the same Yellow Lums from Rayman 2, they're just ordinary Lums that happen to be yellow (and can turn red or purple), which also appear in Rayman M's race mode. It's anyone's guess as to why we don't see or hear of such "ordinary Lums" in Rayman 2 itself, but then Green Lums are there too but only Murfy mentions them!

Re: How old is Rayman?
with the whole hundred year long nap that was a thing for some reason i like to think hes really.. a few hundred years old by then. my headcanon is that glade inhabitants just get insanely long lifespans plus the years on the glade being shorter than here on earth
but by human standards he might be like twenty somethin

Re: How old is Rayman?
Yeah, I'm not sure how years are defined in a binary solar system.
Re: How old is Rayman?
I'm so old that I'm sure they're younger than me.

Re: Rayman's age
I'm not even sure the concept of age is relevant to Rayman. Did he even grow up or was he born like this? Not to mention the whole Legends canon putting things on a whole other scale than that of human longevity.
(Also, I merged this with an older topic.)

Re: Rayman's age
Ah this makes sense, I thought I remembered a topic like this already existing in the past.
All I would really know is that they're hundreds of years old since they apparently sleep for 100 years at a time.

Re: How old is Rayman?
That’s a good question. His look changed between the first 3 games but I’m not fully sure if he grew up during that time or whether he was just made to look older. In Origins iirc there was that (unreleased?) cutscene showing Rayman’s birth, and he looked exactly the same then as he did in the game itself.Hunchman801 wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2020 5:08 pm I'm not even sure the concept of age is relevant to Rayman. Re: Rayman's age
No, that wasn't a cutscene in the released game, and I don't think it was ever intended to be. It was a trailer, from when the game was still intended to be an episodic prequel, as opposed to a monolithic sequel.

Yeah, I don't even consider that to be part of the UbiArt canon.

Me neither
Yet still people sometimes consider it...or thing origins is an actual origin story

Re: Rayman's age
Yeah, a lot of people still think it's a prequel. The messaging around that was really fuzzed by the developers, as was the entire story in the end.

Re: Rayman's age
Imo origins and legends are a seperate timeline
It makes more sense tbh
And zhe last "canonical" game would be RRR (idk abou tthe handeld games)

Re: Rayman's age
I think Rabbids is just some alternate timeline that branched from r3. I will still never understand that baby globox look.
