Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
How would you feel if someone or a dedicated group of animators made a 'Fan Revival' of the show and gave it more episodes as it initially should have?
Just asking out of curiosity.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I'd love that. I mean, I know it wasn't anything special, but I liked the 4 episodes we did get - really brings me back to my childhood when I played Rayman for the very first time, and knew that "this here, this is my favourite game of all time"...
So yeah, I'd watch it! But to be fair, I'd be happy if we somehow would get the script for the remaining episodes. That'd be absolutely amazing.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
To get our hands on the script, we'd need to contact the people who worked on the 4 episodes. Because, I don't know if someone from a JP fansite managed to get in contact with the OG JP trilogy's producers, but there are scripts for the scrapped versions of the movies that we can download on the fansite.
If that's impossible due to copyright or the wishes of the makers, then someone could have a field day reviving the show with their own spin on the series.
If that was me, my spin wouldn't be child-friendly. There'd be at least two three-part specials that'd be considered too dark for the series. Mainly what happened to Razorbeard and Rigatoni after the crash, and if the hospital Cookie was held in also holds the worst of the worst.
All in all, the show's premise is a unsolved mystery, and some people have speculated what the unfinished fifth episode is about given the title; "My Fair Lacmac".
And I have yet to read the comments on said episode.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I really don't like the animated series at all so I would prefer if it was left to rot in its grave, but why not have a whole new series at this point? There's a lot of potential!Indy wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 3:08 am How would you feel if someone or a dedicated group of animators made a 'Fan Revival' of the show and gave it more episodes as it initially should have?

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I have the series in German on VHS (random I know) but whenever I try to digitize it the audio goes out of sync for some reason.
Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I never did watch this still, some people hate it and some don't though from what I've heard.

I guess this is the main topic for this (there is also this one). I'm very interested in that artwork that was uploaded to the wiki, who is that woman wearing that special dress at the end?

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I have a softspot for early cgi stuff so the show is right down my alley! I enjoyed what little there was of it, and really enjoyed the reanimated collab too, those are always fun to see.
I remember seeing that concept art around the Raywiki a while back. I think concept art Rayman is very interesting myself, I couldn't look at Raybox the same way again afterwards. Never noticed that mysterious lady before (somehow) but she reminds me very much of Betilla. Maybe it's her hat and the angular dress?

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
I found those storyboards on the Leon Joosen's website.
something particular in those storyboards is exist more human characters in the storyboards than the final show. such as a newscaster, many in the subway storyboard and that woman that talking about Elite.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
This thread hasn't been revived in a hot minute. Today me and Greenness was able to recover the original source images of some of the Rayman Animated Series concept arts. You might have seen some of them, but were mostly screenshots. We were able to recover the .swf flash file and recover the source images in their highest quality from the creator's website. I will probably add them to Raywiki later.

Thanks for the contributions, it is nice to have this artwork in a better resolution.

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
Ah, the animated series. I remember watching it for the first time. Too bad there wasn't any recorded footage of me having zoomies at the time.
It's interesting to see the artwork we have not seen before. I'm actually intrigued by the art style. And as a traditional artist, I'm guessing that they used traditional mediums for full illustrations. They used a combination of watercolors or alcohol markers.

It's crazy how new Rayman stuff is still being discovered in 2022
Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
Yeah, there's still so much to look out for. I'm pretty surprised to find more stuff myself.TriangulumDelta wrote: Wed May 18, 2022 4:22 pm It's crazy how new Rayman stuff is still being discovered in 2022![]()

Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
It’s a shame we didn’t get to see more of the show because there were only 4 episodes
Re: RTAS (Rayman the Animated Series)
