Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
Grolgoth was hell when I was a kid, but I can breeze through it now, at least in the vanilla game. Robin's first-person mod adds a new dimension of pain to the homing shots though.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
I should really give that a try sometime. I probably will be frustrated to hell doing the first-person mod.
After thinking about it, I'm gonna go with the PS1 version of R2. While it is unique compared to the other versions, I found the battle boring the longer I played. At least based on my own experience playing it via an emulator.

I spent so long working on my OS that I forgot about this one. I originally went to share the screenshot, then Firefox would just crash when I tried to click "Add files".
Suggestions are welcome as always!

Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
Maybe the question, which rayman gameboy game is the best
Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
We did have this one before about handheld in general, though I guess a specific one about Game Boy Color / Advance would be fine. I guess the options would be Rayman (GBC), Rayman 2 (GBC), Rayman Advance (GBA), Rayman 3 (GBA), Rayman Hoodlums' Revenge (GBA), Rayman Raving Rabbids (GBA). I guess this is the lot, and I doubt we need to add the Rayman IV bootleg to the list (unless we do it for the fun of it just to see if it gets any votes).

Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
I chose R3 for GBA.
Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
I feel like even though I never really finished any of them (yet), I'd probably say R3 GBA.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
I have voted for Rayman 3 on GBA, but Rayman 1 on GBC is a really good game for such an old console.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
Yeah if I had to choose a second game after R3GBA, it would be either RRR GBA or R1GBC. There are two things I enjoyed from the latter: The Mr. Dark fight and Dark Legacy. I really like how Ryemanni took inspiration from this game for Redemption as well.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
Yeah, the Mr Dark fight was brilliant in that version.
RRR GBA I like because of its originality (a mixture of cut Rayman 4 content, assets from and stuff inspired by Rayman 1, and of course the Rabbids), but the controls felt way too awkward in my opinion.

Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
I have always been under the impression that they were different (and less precise) but maybe one of our skilled reverse engineers here will prove me wrong!
Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
I can't say for sure, but I felt they were less precise as well. Might just be because of the collision though, hard to say. Now that Ray1Map is finished I definitely want to look into reverse engineering (and making maps for) these games too

Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
Man, I'd love to see that. But don't forget to take some time off Carrot, you've been working like crazy on this.
Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
Haha yeah, once we finish making the web version of Ray1Map I'm actually taking a break for a bit to focus on other projects. But I'm still excited to add support for all these other games after that!
Re: The Awesome and Cool Rayman Poll Thread
I'm definitely not surprised that Rayman IV got no votes.
