That. That is what makes the Mr. Stone achievement challenging, bc you have to defeat Mr. Stone at the end as well to receive his achievement. Though I must say, it is much MUCH easier than the Dark Legacy achievement.

Speaking of Dark Legacy, I just finished it today after throwing away about 10-15 lives, but the last phase was enjoyable. I can't wait to play the Breakout game next! :)

All the challenges are doable, but it will take practice. And mastery of the various powerups you see throughout the game, like the rings and the paint fist.

Also interesting to note, about Boss Rush, you dont actually have to take all the powerups initially, they seem to remain throughout. Hopefully this will make it easier for people who may be struggling with that.

Cool game. I try to play it for a bit. But I'm having problems playing the music of the game when I try to play it. Could be me being a boomer idiot but I do need some help on that glitch of sorts.

The Jonster wrote: Mon Jul 06, 2020 12:55 am Downloaded the update last night and finished the game!.....almost. I still got one more level, and I took some time to play some of the challenges. I can say for sure that the powerup challenges are the most challenging of the 3 basic types. Thankfully you don't lose lives, and in those challenges, you don't have a time limit unlike the other 2 types. I also found a certain minigame challenge though, that a was very clear reference to R:DMROT, and i really enjoyed that one. :)
I take back what I said earlier. Of the 4 types of challenges, I can say for sure that the boss rushes are the hardest ones. Though that's not to say some of the powerup ones aren't challenging as well.

Nice! The added best time to a level could definitely provide more options for a COTM. :D

Yeah. Don't know if I'm gonna try that mode if it's gonna be like, that intense hard mode from Classic.

Code: Select all

-Altered the cabin boys' sprites
I remember seeing somebody request this on Twitter.

Removing the invisible wall on the Lonely Cliff was also a good idea, though now it's replaced by a death fall, which will probably lead to even more headscratching. :P Also, golding the Bzitt levels is definitely welcome!

I just noticed the image Steo posted, that looks really nice for a fake 1-up. Amazing work! I assume these rigged powerups/lives damage you like normal enemies.

I haven't tried out the majority of the challenges or checked out the updates for myself since version 1.0.2 since I've been a bit preoccupied, though I'll definitely check it out soon!

All I gotta say is the second boss rush is killing me. If you guys are gonna try it, be ready for multiple tries (probably not as much as Dark Legacy damageless but still).

Well, I'm off work in a couple of weeks, but I'm currently planning to spend that time sleeping, not playing a super-high-difficulty platformer. :confus:

Sleeping sounds so much better than trying to go for some of the harder challenges in this game

I can't wait to start sleeping instead of spending all this time working on an OS, but I'd also like to play a game.

You guys are such sleepyheads!! :P

But as I've said previously, Redemption is awesome! I constantly forget that it's really a total remake rather than an expanded official port! It's that well-made!!
I haven't played it much recently though for some reason, besides when I played a bit of it for my mom a while ago when I was visiting her. Her reaction to Bzzit was priceless to me since she hates mosquitoes!! Lol

Yes we are definite sleepyheads :fou:

I loved how Bzzit’s role was expanded from just the one stage he appeared in the original. I actually enjoy his stages in Redemption a lot.

Yeah, after Origins, it makes perfect sense to have those levels in every world.

Hi everyone!

I was asked by an anonymous to share here one thing regarding Rayman Redemption.
Let me introduce you to RaYCiSS - a patch that will restore original Cabin Boys sprites that were sadly removed in the latest update:

https://ulozto.net/file/BBlXHIFB44Sq/rayciss-exe
https://mega.nz/file/L5x1QCoL#kwGBcH8fV ... 2eVYa8lpO8

To apply the patch, all you have to do is put the .exe file in the same folder where Rayman Redemption is located and drag data.win onto it. You will be greeted by the official statement from anonymous why he made this patch and data.win will be patched. Backup of official data.win file will also be created in the folder.
I have tested the patch myself and I can say that it works 100%

If there are some issues about the patch, the best way to contact me is my Twitter account but I'll try to stick around here for a while too.

Kind regards,
OCG
