Re: Please introduce yourself here
Hey, I'm CurlyBrace! I've wanted to join this place for so long, and tried making an account like a month ago, but it just gave me an error when I tried lol... Anyways, it's resolved now, and I'm finally here so that's what matters!!

Welcome to RPC, CurlyBrace!
Please let me echo Hunch's apologies for the registration issue.
I'm guessing from your name and signature that you wouldn't be a fan of Python?

From my limited Python knowledge and the fact that I know it uses indenting, I get the joke.PluMGMK wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2020 11:46 am I'm guessing from your name and signature that you wouldn't be a fan of Python?![]()

Re: Please introduce yourself here
Thanks so much guys! I feel so welcome here already!!
And I'm glad you asked about my name, PluMGMK! Funny story actually... about three years ago, I was taking a programming camp at the local college, and at every mention of the term "curly brace", I was reminded of the indie game Cave Story, which features a character who is named after that symbol. I hadn't yet finished the game at that point, and was inspired to do so afterward. Since then, every new account I have made across different sites (including this one!!) has been named for that character (and by extension, the programming symbol), and most of the time I use her as my avatar too! My interest in the Curly Brace character has indeed also sparked an even greater love of programming and technology for me, and I plan to study in that area when I attend college for real this fall!!

Hey don't worry about the registration thing, it's all good!! I believe Steo told me yesterday on Discord that there was a registration issue at the time I tried, so has that been entirely resolved yet??PluMGMK wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2020 11:46 am Welcome to RPC, CurlyBrace! Please let me echo Hunch's apologies for the registration issue.

Re: Please introduce yourself here
As someone who is in the midst of studying programming (doing web development bootcamp via udemy class at this time), I wish you the best of luck with pursuing your loves!
Re: Please introduce yourself here
This is interesting, programming is a nice thing to get into. I've only done some little things with C, Javascript, and Python myself, and I still have a lot to learn. I've been spending more time getting into the roots of Linux lately first, and at some stage I'm going to have to learn how to program a package manager.

Re: Please introduce yourself here
The title of this thread says "please introduce yourself here" so I'm gonna do that.
Hi guys and gals, I'm Frank, 26, and I've been a Rayman fan since Rayman 2, as it was the first game I got on N64. Recently I've been obsessed with Rayman again and started collecting some older and newer Rayman games. Love to read everything about the history of Rayman and just enjoy the fandom around Rayman. I think it's awesome that theres a place like this community that is still active, this message board gives me mid 2000s nostalgia vibes in the most positive sense I can imagine. Anyway, I'm excited to be a part of this community and just share my love for Rayman.
Take care everybody and stay safe!
