I think they were OK, they just had the wrong radius of curvature, which is worse than either of those two things!

To be fair, our first ranks were of the aliased type. But we still had to ask people to make them transparent!

Ah yes, I remember that being a new feature in IE7, some time after Firefox and Opera brought it in. Such quaint times!
