Not really, I'd say. The prequel-ish trailers already showed him in a Rayman-3-like appearance, which obviously would have been a major contradiction if it had been in the final game. Given that, I'm pretty sure they had other inconsistencies in there with that storyline too.

Also true, so I suppose it would have been better for them to have dropped the Origins part of the name and just went with a name different name...or something. :P

I have seen people draw Tily in other styles and she doesn't look so bad.

Why not Ly?
They'd have had to shrink her significantly to fit in the standard Rayman-sized player hull. It would've looked weird, and probably been really unsatisfying to play.

I'm not so sure about that. I knew a guy in school who invested a lot of energy and thought into hating companies (like Viacom and Microsoft). That's a lot of commitment.
