Re: Smoke?
It's hard to know how it affects a person, since I don't smoke myself, I can't really tell.

Re: Smoke?
I'd say it varies from person to person, but yeah, I can imagine it relieving stress. Maybe because I imagine breathing deeply – inhaling smoke in that deep breath isn't my idea of fun though.

Re: Smoke?
No offense to people who do abide to rules and stuff but I feel like I wanna rant a bit.
Some time ago I was waiting for a train to go to work, it was like 30C and blazing hot sun, but when you're one of three teenagers who just come down and smoke in the shelter which is literally plastered with no-smoking signs, thus taking up what little shade there is as the platform, does that not make you the biggest douchebag imaginable or what? I didn't speak to them but tried to make up enough body language to show how not happy I was. If I had more time I would have done a more discreet thing but my train turned up and I had to go.
TLDR people who smoke in smoke-free zones, and kick off when they're politely asked not to (e.g. on hospital grounds) suck.

Re: Smoke?
That sounds disgusting to me. When I breathe it in I immediately start coughing. I still can remember when Adsolution responded to me how she liked the smell of smoke. Can't tell whether she was truthful or not, but it made me realise people can have different experiences with stuff, even stuff like this.PluMGMK wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2020 12:42 pm I'd say it varies from person to person, but yeah, I can imagine it relieving stress. Re: Smoke?
I guess people get used to it.
Re: Smoke?
I hate the smell of vinegar for example, but I guess some people don't seem to mind it.

Re: Smoke?
I only hate the taste of vinegar. I'm not big on the smell either but I can handle it.
Re: Smoke?
The malt one really gets me, it almost turns me off eating.

Re: Smoke?
The only vinegar I've smelled is white, rice, and apple cider. Dunno what malt's like

Re: Smoke?
Well I smoke on a regular basis but I'm not addicted so I guess I'll keep it that way.
Re: Smoke?
The only time I ever did smoke it was weed, and that was literally only like twice in my life.

Re: Smoke?
I only attempted to smoke a cigarette once. What happened was i ended up chewing it and it was gross.
Re: Smoke?
I didn't make it a habit regardless.

Re: Smoke?
It's nice to live in a smokefree home now but ugh I have a neighbour who smokes on the fire escape outside his flat (guess his landlord won't let him do it indoors) and the smell gets in anytime I open certain windows. I don't really have the heart or energy to tell him and it's not like he ever spoke to me on his accord anyway.
Re: Smoke?
It's even worse for me when people smoke weed in the garden next door.

Re: Smoke?
Must be nice to have smoke free house holds....the way my dad is I don’t think I’ll be able to avoid it if I go downstairs.

Re: Smoke?
I hope for their sake they're not a pack of psychos like the family next door to my parents' /my old place are. I'm glad I don't have to put up with their vicious arguing anymore but man it was awful.
Like sure I like the idea of weed in a muffin but the whole thing with drug dealing and that can go fuck. A lot of awful things that happened in my home town such as a kid getting stabbed to death, a neighbour getting acid thrown on her face etc, have all been weed related and I hate feeling that I carry that baggage around because of where I used to live.

Re: Smoke?
I don't think they realise how serious it can get though, most of them either just care about making money or getting high.

Re: Smoke?
I can understand being drunk, but I still don’t really comprehend why one would want to get high. What thrills do they get from getting it that state?

Re: Smoke?
Well it's fun too but it slows you down quite a lot, that's why I quit.
