It has it alright, but in greatly reduced quantity.

Apparently I voted yes here, but that was over a decade ago. :oops2:

I think what was going through my mind was how jarred I felt when I first played Rayman 3 and arrows appeared in front of whatever I was aiming at. That kinda broke the magic for me. Rayman 3 still has plenty of magic though, you just have to pay attention!

Yes, I definitely do, I mean take the entirety of TLOTLD for instance, or even FC as an example.

I dont really miss it

It made the combat in rayman 2 kinda...bare

The puzzles were nice but not enough for me

The Rayman 2 combat system leaves a lot to be desired, but I think theoretically the Rayman 3 combat system could be ported into it without altering the atmosphere.

Definetly
A rayman 2 remake with rayman 3s combat would be amazing

There would be few puzzles though that need changes if that happens

I wonder if it could be done by modding. I suspect not, but the scripts that Raymap decompiles are quite interesting to read. Which puzzles are you thinking of?

I don't miss it too much myself. It would probably be great for more scoring but it would also make the game for me even easier than it already si.

Edit: I refer to the magic fist btw, not the style. That's what I get for not reading the topic thoroughly. :P

I love Rayman 3 but I still agree that it lacks the magic style of Rayman 2. I'm fine with the humor of the game, I just wished they'd introduced more mystical environments such as the elementary sanctuaries of the previous game.

I think rayman 3 is more magical in a single level than rayman 2s as a whole personaly

It has so much that i just cant see it in rayman 2

I think it's no so much about what the game shows as what it doesn't. Rayman 2 leaves a lot to the imagination, but I don't remember finding any of the locations in Rayman 3 mysterious.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. They're magical indeed, it's just that I feel Rayman 2 left more to the imagination. More mysterious, in a way.

It's not the first time that I read that Rayman 3 misses the magic style from Rayman 2, but what do people think about Rayman 1 then?
