Re: Turntables and Vinyl Records
The Sonic Mania OST is coming out on Vinyl as well
Re: Turntables and Vinyl Records
It's fitting because Sonic mania is outdated as well.

The plural of vinyl is “vinyl”, or “records”.Cairnie wrote:My partner uses his dad's turntable to play the few Sega Datadiscs vinyls and it's like yaay the Streets of Rage OST on vinyl!
Sorry, just had to point it out. I’m sick of people making that mistake.

And I have a good vintage linear tracking turntable. None of that cheap Crosley shit.

Bump!
Yes, my dad had a turntable, though it's been over 20 years since I've seen it (I was a kid when I saw it), so I don't know if we still have it. If I do find it, I'm going to marvel and examine it, since old technology/stuff like that fascinate me.

Try getting a few used records and giving them a spin. The Jonster wrote:Bump!

Re: Turntables and Vinyl Records
Over the past two years alone we've built up a little bit of a record collection. Mostly novelty crap but a few gems here and there. I got given the Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle OST on vinyl last Christmas and it's rather nice.

Re: Turntables and Vinyl Records
Only saw this got bumped now. Since lockdown we've brought the old turntable downstairs and started playing records from my parents' collections. It's pretty cool, but a big problem is that the volume switch is borked and if you touch it the sound breaks up. We have to resort to facing the speaker down on the floor, and angling it by resting it on record cases, to actually adjust the volume.
Re: Turntables and Vinyl Records
For some reason I find this solution to a volume switch really funny.PluMGMK wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 9:25 pm It's pretty cool, but a big problem is that the volume switch is borked and if you touch it the sound breaks up. I haven't had vinyls in years myself, it's been a very long time since we even owned anything that could play them.
