And its gone
In Revolution they just split the two segments of this between other levels.

I don't really mind the Top of the World myself, it's just trying to collect Lums on that chair section. :mefiant:

I assume you're one of those people who found the chair difficult?

Not difficult, just plain anoying
And boring
And long

1 hit kills arent fun

And the segment after is so cool, having to repleay this stupid chair everytime to get to the good stuff is plain dumb

It certainly requires a special form of spatial orientation aptitude. My 8-year old is actually quite good at it. Maybe better than me.

It isn't even that long or difficult, I guess it was the first few times I played. The only annoying thing was if you missed a Lum near the end of a section and had to replay the level.

I never found the chair difficult, it was quite fun for me actually! Not so much missing lums on the way but then again that didn’t happen to me too much.

True but nearly every level has at least one place where that can happen if such cases were like that. Plus I wouldn’t really consider that an insta kill. The only kind like that would happen if you were stupid enough to let a pirate drill right under you. :P

I wonder if that telefragging was intentional on the part of the devs, or if they actually intended it to be a single-hit-point loss like falling into poison/piranha water. I get the feeling it was under-tested, like that bizarre situation that occurs if you try to go backwards on the shell in Menhir Hills 2…

I did think it was a bit much to be one kit killed by it though, since the majority of things in the game only take away some health and respawn you. Even lava in the game doesn't one hit kill you.

You should mess with the void glitch, assuming you get the hang of pausing the game at the perfect frame.

I still have high interests in trying that barrel glitch myself! :P

Maybe there should be one day where I try all the glitches that could be in R2 out.

Void is complicated since it results in you not being able to see where you're going, but it breaks the likes of gates or certain walls so you can just walk through them. The issue is you're going it blindly, then pausing and unpausing the game when you think you're where you want to be.

That already interests me right away. Considering the N64 is my next R2 game and it's like th PC version, I will definitely be doing some glitch trying out here. :D

The one for swimming in mid air on the Fairy Glade that the speedrunners use is still an interesting one. It's weird how it even works.

I did post a video of the time I fell under the water instead, that tends to happen sometimes.
