all teensies have incredible vocal range and thats why both the npc teensies in origins both have their own normal voice but also make playable teensy noises which is Very different sounding. rheyre fantastic at voice impressions!

Re: Rayman Headcanons
I would tend to agree, but I wouldn't exclude Raymesis (or Glombrox for Globox). Not that it matters much though, I prefer to think of the UbiArt games as having their own timeline.Dancaa wrote: Sun Mar 29, 2020 12:30 am My personal headcanon is that none of the Rayman type characters in Legends are actual separate characters, and are indeed just Rayman wearing goofy costumes (or lack thereof in the case of Rayomz). All except for Raymesis who as far as I’m concerned is just Dark Rayman’s form before he changed to the all black form that is seen in the invaded levels.

Re: Rayman Headcanons
i just caught myself headcanoning about rabbids O_O so might as well post em here
they did originate in the glade but somehow have turned themselves into interdimentional travellers . but they still keep some of the nonsensical glade logic and thus do real weird stuff that others cant really do in whatever world theyre in, if that makes sense. i dont frickinf know im mostly going off of mario + rabbids
also from the glade inhabitants perspective they just suddenly appeared one day, bullied everyone for a while, and just as swiftly disappeared because they decided to invade other planets or dimensions i guess. people are still questioning like "what even was any of that about". what if theyre just considered cryptids now
sorry i havent got much actual rayman headcanons to think of at the moment so heres ........ rabbids

Re: Rayman Headcanons
As promised, a translation of my theory that involved Ly being a demi-DomZ. I haven't thought about it in years, so it may shock even me as I translate it.
Original here: viewtopic.php?p=1288391#p1288391
With the last point, I had in mind an elegant explanation for why, in Rayman 2, the Lums tell Rayman his origins are completely unknown, whereas there's contradictory information in more recent material (especially around Origins).
- Long ago there were the Lums, creatures of pure light, and the DomZ, parasitic beings.
- The Lums decided to bring life to a certain planet. The Yellow Lums installed themselves as the "Heart" of this world, and concentrated all their energy in a marvellous being: Polokus.
- Polokus set about dreaming up a new world, which was thus called the "Glade of Dreams".
- Everything was fine, until a DomZ armada lay siege to the Glade. The meteors started falling and corrupting Polokus' creations.
- The DomZ infection spread throughout the Glade. Near the place now called the "Sanctuary of Stone and Fire", DomZified Plums became particularly terrifying monsters: Janods!
- Fortunately, the fairies, that is to say Polokus' emisarries, managed to get rid of the DomZ armada, but that wasn't the end of it. There were still Janods on the planet, who were messing up the world and giving Polokus nightmares.
- What's more, during the battle, one fairy got DomZified, and shortly after gave birth to a hybrid: LIBRA. So that she wouldn't remember her origins, the Glade's inhabitants agreed to just call her "Ly".
- To get rid of the remaining Nightmares, the Nymphs, that is to say the five most important fairies, created Rayman from moon rays. Unfortunately, they hadn't taken into account the infection that the DomZ armada had also seeded on the moon…
- Still, Rayman managed to end the domination of the Nightmares, who were then imprisoned underground.
- All the same, there were still one or two original Janods, i.e. DomZified plums, and some gems that seemed very very green…
- Eventually Rayman met Ly and they fell in love. To protect the planet against the DomZ threat, everyone decided not to tell them anything about their origins, or about the events that led to the appearance of the Nightmares.

I had not had time to read it until this moment, but wow, what a theory!
I love how your head canon on Ly reminds me of Jade (which I assume is what sparked your headcanon on Ly).

Yeah this is an interesting theory indeed. I like the ides of DomZified plums too!

Re: Rayman Headcanons
Thanks guys! Yeah, I realized in 2017 that the way the mini-Jano dies and leaves behind a plum (which is the same size and also bouncy) could actually be a simple transformation from monster to plum, albeit not very well portrayed due to technical limitations. (The fact that Michel called that particular mini-Jano a "Monstroplante" basically confirms that, but I didn't find that out until much more recently.) It struck me how similar it was to the way many DomZ monsters transform into clean pearls on defeat, and that the mini Janos and DomZ have some similarities in appearance. Once I'd elucidated that, I figured Ly was fair game too.

Re: Rayman Headcanons
Am I right in assuming that Tily plays a role in this headcanon too?
I didn't see her being mentioned in the translation.

Re: Rayman Headcanons
I hadn't thought about her when I formulated it originally tbh. But if you go with the idea that she's Rayman and Ly's daughter, then her DomZ origins explain why everyone hates her!

Conversely, people love Jade in comparison!

Re: Rayman Headcanons
Well, we have no idea of Jade's origins! The next game might tell us something… Tily on the other hand was born of a romance which my theory hints may have been DomZ-catalysed…

No worries, the Domz are an alien race that appear in BG&E.

Well, we make a lot of fun of the Rabbids, but when you take a close look on their organization, their actions in games and their military equipment, they can be a huge threat for any planet they go.MortisDoors wrote: Thu Sep 03, 2020 6:09 pm 2. the rabbids are the strongest enemies rayman has faced
It wasn't a good idea to let the survivors of the Rabbids army on Earth, Rayman.
I throught about something recently, although I don't give it a lot of credits.
Remember when the Game Boy Color version of the first Rayman reveals the Tings are tiny fairies in crystal balls?
https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Ting#In_Ra ... y_Color.29
Could be funny if the luminous little fairies in the Fairy Council of Rayman 3 where in fact Tings, but without their crystal balls this time.

Re: Rayman Headcanons
And maybe the "Lums" from Lum Spring mode in Rayman M could be the crystal balls without the fairies? I think that could tie it together nicely…

The rabbids and hoodlums would get along pretty well.

Re: Rayman Headcanons
Rayman headcanons thread? Sounds like a dream to be true!
Here's mine.
Razorbeard is a misunderstood villain who used to be bullied at school due for his small stature and defined by his own father a "failure" that has become this ferocious Admiral of a robopirate army with Napoleon's Complex to prove everyone how wrong they were about him.
He probably took this too far by reducing over 100 planets in cosmic dust btw.
And Razorwife proved everyone that there's someone even worse than the Admiral himself - HER!
