Re: Coffee or tea?
I don't think I ever had a full on machine that does the grinding and everything, but then I don't feel the need to and I just have pod coffee instead most of the time. I've got an old dolce gusto and I've got a nespresso compatible machine that does the job.

Re: Coffee or tea?
Well as of today I'm still drinking instant coffee so I guess that would be a nice upgrade.
Re: Coffee or tea?
Instant coffee is basically what I used to always drink.

Re: Coffee or tea?
Let's be honest anyway, it does the job.
Re: Coffee or tea?
It's easier to make too if you're feeling lazy. I used to make it so lazily I'd just pour it from the jar instead of even bothering with a spoon.

Re: Coffee or tea?
My parents actually do that too on occasion.
All I have at home these days is instant coffee or matcha green tea powder for matcha lattes. Of the two coffee machines I got at home, i still favor using the traditional one rather than using the one that uses those coffee cups.

Re: Coffee or tea?
I just buy what they likely call black tea elsewhere, but here we just call it tea.

Lyons or Barry's?
Re: Coffee or tea?
I like Barry's.
I like both to be fair, and all teas taste different to me, even though some people seem to think they're all the same. I find the Lyons ones weaker despite having those pyramid bags to make the tea leaves have more room.

I remember when I saw a container of pyramid shaped bags of tea in the kitchen cupboard. I didn’t understand at the time why they were shaped that way but it looked cool
Sounds like you guys have different tea brands than ones I know of.

I drink Barry's too, and agree about Lyons being weaker!

*Reads thread title*
I'm a coffee person and coffee is my juice to start the day; without coffee, I'm an useless, lazy robot. Coffee is love, coffee is life.
I also drink tea, but prefer coffee over it.

I'm pretty sure I saw my dad do the exact same thing a few days ago.Steo wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 9:33 pm It's easier to make too if you're feeling lazy. I used to make it so lazily I'd just pour it from the jar instead of even bothering with a spoon.![]()

Re: Coffee or tea?
Oh the pyramid shaped ones might be PG tips, one of the UK favourites. I think being pyramid shaped lets the tea flow a bit more when it's diffusing with the hot water thus bringing more flavour out but IDK, we only had those for 20-30 years.
Re: Coffee or tea?
Lyons do that too over here, but for some reason the likes of Tetley or Barry's seems to be stronger anyway. Saying that, Lyons do have a Gold Blend version which I don't remember trying.

Did you ever find such a machine?Hunchman801 wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2020 5:39 pm I need to buy a proper coffee machine, but I want it to grind the beans for me and do everything automatically because I'm obviously too lazy. Gotta look into options.
I would like to have a coffee grinder myself for any bags I get that have whole beans. Well ones that aren't from Starbucks anyways, since for those I can just go to one of the locations and ask them to grind them (my cousin gave me this tip one day)
Hmmm, my preferences for tea would now be either a chai tea latte or a thai tea. My coffee preference would be a cold mocha without ice. I still like both but lately I've been drinking more tea.The Jonster wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2020 9:03 pm My favourite tea would be a chai tea latte and my favourite coffee would be a frappucino of sorts.
Speaking of coffee, a year ago I tried this trend of dalgona coffee after seeing it on Tasty and I thought it was interesting how coffee could be whipped up into a lighter shade by just using hot water, sugar, and instant coffee. It was alright when I tasted it but I almost always ended up making too much that I couldn't place it all on top of my milk.

Ah well things have changed a lot in 3 years lol. I love drinking coffee nowadays, which is ironically an extremely Swedish thing.
I drink either Gevalia or Löfbergs over here. Both are really nice. In Ireland the coffees are actually very different.

Re: Coffee or tea?
Yes I did! I got one for Christmas that year and I'm really happy about it. I'm not at home right now and I don't know the model but the brand is Krups. The Jonster wrote: Wed May 10, 2023 10:29 pm Did you ever find such a machine?

Re: Coffee or tea?
I'm glad you were able to find the coffee machine that you wanted!.

I've heard of Gevalia but not the other one. If there was a kind of coffee I'd like to give a try it's Kona coffee.Steo wrote: Wed May 10, 2023 11:26 pm Ah well things have changed a lot in 3 years lol. I love drinking coffee nowadays, which is ironically an extremely Swedish thing.
