What other videogames genres do you see Rayman getting into?
It's a pretty unusual question since Rayman always been a 2D/3D platformer. But, lately, I have been looking at the spinoffs which Rayman has been in over the years. He's been in party games, edutainment, isometric platformer, Endless runners and even a kart racer. So I'm pretty interested on what other genres of games which people would like to see Rayman in? Either if it's a mainline game or spinoff. I love to hear your opinions. Some can be pretty out there, just to have fun with it.

Great topic, Retro! For my part, with the recent trend of Rayman-themed horror fangames such as The Spooky Raymansion 1 and 2 or Globox Terror: Escape of the Lumar Eclipse, and the promising yet cancelled Attack of the Killer Rabbids From Outer Space (that somehow managed to become ZombiU), I think there might just be an actual potential for Rayman horror games, as surprising as it may sound.
There's actually a few dark themes in both Rayman 2 and 3 that could be built on, but of course everything light and cheerful would have to be put aside, and there's a lot of that in the Rayman series.

Yeah, interesting question! I voted for sandbox, but if I could select multiple genres, I would also vote for the racing genre.

I like beat-em-ups, but in a sense, I guess the UbiArt games are kind of that. I guess something like that with a health bar and points system would be cool (where the enemies take a few hits instead of just one).
It's interesting though how there has never been a racing game on consoles, while even the likes of Crash has a couple. I guess M/Arena is a racing one, but I mean a kart one which isn't just an obscure mobile game.
I think I'll go with sandbox though since if they ever did make a new game, I think this would be a nice way for it to work. I'm most certainly not voting for Battle Royale!

I voted "Racing games". I would love to see more of Rayman and the rest of the characters in a kart or some sort of race vehicle. Stats would be interesting to see also in terms of deciding the top tiers and so on.
I would vote "fighting games" as well but it would be a bit weirdly convenient considering that Rayman is actually an existing creation for MUGEN with the use of animations and sprites from Rayman Advance.

I guess one of the reasons I don't really want to see Rayman in a spin-off right now is because of how many of those there already are, as opposed to main series games. Give us Rayman 4 first, and then I'll be to open to any racing or fighting games they'll want to come up with.

Hmm, this is an interesting topic. I'd go for either RPG or Sandbox (i can't decide on which).
