Actually, < says that a lighter piezo produces several thousand volts and it’s less painful (on the tongue, that is) than a 9V battery!PluMGMK wrote: Mon Dec 28, 2020 1:24 pm < guesses it's also painful since the voltage is quite a bit higher!

Re: The You Game!
Hmm! < guesses that's due to the much shorter pulse duration.
Is a piezo crystal a voltage source or a current source? < is thinking now of ESD Human Body Model, which can be thought of as a source of 1.3 A with a maximum voltage of 2 kV (or scale those numbers to whatever voltage rating you're testing to).

< remembers the lighter sparkers making your head twitch if you used them on the side of your neck.

< also heard that they plan on tightening the grip here.
< doesn't really care, we can't go out for drinks already so how could this be any worse?

Re: The You Game!
Since < didn't have time to say this yesterday, < will do so now instead.
So one of <'s Christmas presents arrived yesterday which was a Thrustmaster T.Flight Stick X joystick that looks like this: From what < can say, it's very ergonomic (for right-handed people, since it isn't ambidextrous), and it's really satisfying to control both racing games and games involving flight with it. As for racing games, it feels really smooth to brake especially, by pulling the stick back.
Overall, < thinks it's really good, it's just a matter of getting used to it, especially since this is the first time < used a joystick for anything, haha.
