Re: The You Game!
< saw the Celebrity Chase Christmas Special the other night. < was gobsmacked by all the handshaking and hugging that was going on, in the context all the talk of new strains and the like.

Re: The You Game!
<'s holidays ended today.
< is glad to be back in <'s home office, though.

Re: The You Game!
< is wondering whether to buy the new Hitman game, or else wait it out and buy a different one.
Re: The You Game!
< is feeling so suicidal from the dentist visit. < has the braces and elastics to worry about. <'s appetite is not very great and < would rather not eat anything than try to eat something and stress <'s mouth in pain.
Re: The You Game!
< had to fix the extractor fan. < checked the 13 amp fuse, and it wasn't blown (< would be surprised if the 13 amp actually blew), then < discovered it was just the switch which had become loose. < put a screw into the switch to fix it, but < has no idea where the old one went. < hopes there's no screws in <'s dinner.

Re: The You Game!
< took double the normal time to get to <'s friends last night because of a sudden snowfall (the first and probably last of the winter here
). And it was all gone in the morning because of a sudden warmup.
Re: The You Game!
< had that here recently too, and it was the same scenario, where was gone by the next morning.
< has been getting indigestion and heartburn much more often lately, < hopes that < can get another endoscopy soon and have them find the underlying issue (though < shouldn't hold <'s breath too much with the pandemic). < gets feelings similar to angina from it at times, and it causes < to panic on occasion. At this stage, it happens so much that the panic episodes aren't as severe.

Re: The You Game!
< can't get over how orthogonal the issue of snow and road conditions is to <'s life right now, considering what the story was this time last year!

This story reminds < of the time < saw a high-wattage computer PSU on Komplett, and checked the maximum input current rating – 15 amps!Steo wrote: Fri Jan 15, 2021 6:19 pm < had to fix the extractor fan. < checked the 13 amp fuse, and it wasn't blown (< would be surprised if the 13 amp actually blew), then < discovered it was just the switch which had become loose. < put a screw into the switch to fix it, but < has no idea where the old one went. < hopes there's no screws in <'s dinner.![]()

< can see the issue there.PluMGMK wrote: Sun Jan 17, 2021 7:39 pm This story reminds < of the time < saw a high-wattage computer PSU on Komplett, and checked the maximum input current rating – 15 amps!![]()
It kind of reminds < of the time that <'s dad had wired the oven to a cooker switch, but just put a plug on the hob (which used way more power than the oven) with some 4mm cooker wire. < really doesn't understand how the 13 amp fuse never blew in this, because with the 4 hobs on at once, it would be well into 20 amps! < also hopes that electrical socket it was plugged into is on the 32 amp breaker, and not one of the 10 amp ones, otherwise, that explains why the RCD used to trip so often.

Re: The You Game!
< just found out that yesterday was Dolly Parton's 75th birthday. Funny how < woke up this morning with her songs in <'s head.
Re: The You Game!
< is doing a self-paced learning course that is (somewhat) fully consisted of computer science and < is introduced to Lua.
< is having a fun time(in a good and bad way) using the program.
< really hates this as well:

It is this particular error.

Re: The You Game!
< wishes ^ luck with it. < isn't familiar with Lua, < is just a Python novice.
EDIT: Well, < recalls installing Lua in Linux, but not actually programming with it, just compiling.

Re: The You Game!
< is headed to Paris for the week-end. It's been a few months already, not that there's anything to do there at the moment anyway.
Re: The You Game!
<’s a terrible person…

Re: The You Game!
< is also wondering about that.
< doesn't know much about Lua, but based on Perl/Python experience, R4Y's error sounds like something trying to call an object method as if it were a standalone function.

Re: The You Game!
< only knows small amounts of Python, but < still wants to learn more of it at some stage. < mainly wanted to try use it just to learn something, then it came in handy when < wanted something to keep packages up to date.

Because < has serious personality flaws. < isn’t surprised some people dislike <.Steo wrote: Sun Jan 24, 2021 2:52 am < also wonders why ^^ is a terrible person, assuming ^^ is ok to talk about it.
<’s just selfish and egotistical.
Re: The You Game!
< honestly never noticed ^ being egoistical. < thinks ^ is a nice guy anyways, judging by talking with ^ on Discord.Because < has serious personality flaws. < isn’t surprised some people dislike <.
