Rayman IV story/script idea

Since 2003 we have been waiting for Rayman 4/a new 3D Rayman game to become a reality, and since 2013 we have been waiting for a new Rayman game in general. But with everything that has happened with the franchise, the community has sort of been divided especially with the direction Rayman has taken with the UbiArt games. There has also been confusion with the timeline of the games especially with the Raving Rabbids saga being a factor to this confusion. But as an intellectual who plays Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc and Rayman Legends, I want all Rayman games to be canon and that all Rayman fans be happy and be supportive of each other in everything such as favorite characters, levels, music, power-ups, etc. I know some will not agree with my idea of the "Rayman IV" story, but with everything that has happened to the franchise and in order to keep all Rayman games canon, the story of "Rayman IV" should be rewritten as a sequel to Hoodlum Havoc and at the same time a 3D "Reimagining" of Rayman Legends with a better story. If you are confused with where I'm going, this is how the story of "Rayman IV" should be:

[Antagonist Side] After the events of Hoodlum Havoc, Andre decides to find Mr. Dark after being defeated by Rayman. But first, Andre decides to find Captain Razorbeard since has also been seeking revenge on Rayman. Meanwhile at Mr. Dark's castle, Mr. Dark has a visitor in which appears to be an evil version of a Teensie (Ales Mansay) in which he has always worshipped Mr. Dark and has always wanted to be like him. Mr. Dark gives Mansay an inspiration speech, but both get interrupted when Andre and Razorbeard come out of nowhere beg Mr. Dark to defeat Rayman. Mr. Dark initially rejects since he doesn't know who Razorbeard or Andre are until they explain the pain they have went through after being defeated by Rayman. Mr. Dark accepts to help Razorbeard and Andre take revenge on Rayman and immediately head out. Before the trio of antagonists head out, Mansay says, "Hey Mr. Dark! Can I come too? I have always detested Rayman and I want to be like you." Mr. Dark momentarily thinks, and then sincerely allows him to join the trio of antagonists but Mansay would be an annoyance like Murfy since he doesn't keep his mouth shut keeps talking about how he is wants to be like Mr. Dark and talks about how he be became his biggest fan.

[Protagonist Side] After Rayman saved the Glade of Dreams from Andre and the hoodlums, Rayman and Globox both knew that the peace in the Glade of Dreams has been restored but little did they know they were in for an unexpected surprise the following morning... The next morning, Rayman and Globox were abruptly awake by Murfy and the Grand Minimus Teensie and told them that there's a medieval castle in the Glade of Dreams. Rayman and Globox decided to investigate since they knew that there wasn't a castle where they lived before their previous adventure of Hoodlum Havoc. The other characters of the original trilogy were advised by Pokolus about the same thing, however, Pokolous already told the other characters that the castle has been built by a spunky yet peaceful Viking princess. Rayman and Globox reached the castle outskirts where the other characters were also there. Rayman was going to head into the castle until a warhorn was blown revealing it to be blown by the Viking Princess (Barbara). She introduced herself and explained to the characters of the Glade of Dreams her origins of how she became a princess and announced that she came in peace and promised that she would never be hostile to the Glade of Dreams and apparently, she explained that her empire went under constant crusades with the nightmares like how Rayman had to save the Glade from the nightmares. Barbara approaches Rayman and congratulates him for saving the Glade since she has also heard why Rayman is the hero of the Glade of Dreams. Rayman wouldn't start a friendship with Barbara until he had to rescue her later on in the story since he just met Barbara, but other than that, Ray and the Glade were impressed that they might form an alliance with Barbara's empire so that when the Nightmares strike again, they can make sure that the nightmares will never mess with Rayman or the Glade ever again. After that day, in the middle of the night, Pokolus and Murfy were discussing like how they did in the introduction of Rayman Legends that with the alliance of Barbara's kingdom, the Glade of Dreams would be stronger than the nightmares... at least they thought that, until their worst fears have been realized when they discover that Mr. Dark, Captain Razorbeard and Andre have taken over the Glade of Dreams once again, and noticed that the antagonists of the first 3 games along with the addition of Ales Mansay who has the ability to clone himself 5 times, have conquered Barbara's castle and held her and her sister Elysia hostage. Horrified by this, Pokolous tells Murfy to wake Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies up while he wakes up the Glade of Dreams. Meanwhile, Rayman and Globox were sleeping. Betilla along with her Nymph sisters and Ly were having fun in a competition of who had the better powers, and were all interrupted when Murfy bursts flying in and tells the girls about the Nightmares' new reign of terror in the Glade. They wake Rayman and Globox up and Murfy explains to Ray and Globox about the situation and Rayman had no choice but to save the Glade again because he knows that the nightmares never give up in returning to terrorize the Glade of Dreams no matter how many times he has saved the Glade. But before Rayman could leave for his quest, Betilla along with her Nymph sisters and Ly casted Rayman magical spells that can give him special abilities throughout his quest and Globox, Murfy, and Grand Minimus left with Rayman. Upon leaving to see if Barbara could help Ray and the glade defeat the nightmares, the heroes see the chaos the nightmares have caused and upon reaching the grounds of Barbara's castle, the heroes were horrified to see that Barbara's castle has been conquered by the nightmares, but were committed to end the nightmares' reign of terror since the Glade of Dreams since Rayman was destined to be the hero of the Glade of Dreams and that the Glade has had a history of being taken over by the nightmares. [The game begins with Rayman and the gang trying to infilterate Barbara's castle to rescue her and her sister Elysia and it is a 3D game like The Great Escape/Hoodlum Havoc].

I mean, my first Rayman game I played was Legends and Barbara introduced me to Rayman since she was the default character of the Wii U Rayman Legends demo everything from that game was beautiful and I wanted a 3D sequel to Legends. But I didn't know that majority wanted "Rayman 4" and after playing Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc, I understand why people want this game to become a reality, especially since the unexpected Rabbids saga occurred.

My first game was the first Rayman on PS1, but after that, I didn't really play anything else for many years. I played Rayman Golf, but this was just a Gameloft title which more or less isn't relevant to the series in itself. It's only after playing Rayman Origins 3 years ago (having put it off because a friend had told me it was bad), then went on to play Legends afterwards. Having enjoyed both of them, I played Rayman 3, then finally Rayman 2.

My conclusion in the end was that all of those games were amazing, and that I had regret not playing them many years ago considering how much I had enjoyed the first game as a kid. That being said though, it didn't take anything away from them, even to play them at an older age. The Rayman 4 thing started because of Murfy in Rayman 3 also, but eventually it practically became a meme.

Welcome! While I have personally long given up the idea of making sense of the Rayman timeline, I must admit it's a pretty creative story you've come up with.

I mean take a look at how Crash Bandicoot 4 It's About Time left many questions regarding the timelines of the post-Naughty Dog era games and that Activision confirmed that all games are canon/not retconned yet the other games happened in an alternate timeline meaning that post Naughty Dog characters such as the ones from CTR N-F can return in potential future Crash games. Rayman should have the same approach regarding the OG trilogy and the UbiArt games since people want Rayman 4 while others want a Legends sequel
