Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
I actually wonder if the magical universe of Rayman 1 was not even better... I remember how I loved it, wondering what would be next, ten years ago... ^^
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
The magical style, that's what rayman 4 will need to be as good as rayman 2.

Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
I think they could merge fun and magical style, don't you?
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
Yes, I think the same, it would be fun, but as long as I see, rayman 4 will mix fun with ridiculous

Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
That was my point. I think they could merge fun and magical style, but I do not think they will. Anyway, only time will tell
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
The only thing we can do is wait
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
The fun will be procured by the gameplay, and maybe the story too.
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
Yep, the gameplay will be very good
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
Do you think that the '360 version'll be as good as the wii version?
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
I don't think so, XBOX 360 will focus only in graphics with the same gameplay as rayman 3, Wii will not have the graphics as Xbox 360, but the graphics aren't the most important thing in a game, the gameplay is more important and the Wii will be focused on that with its unique controller
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
Yep but the 360 will focus on the games, and the games will be good. The most important in a console is not the gameplay or the graphims, because if you have a really innovating graphic systme or gameplay, if the developpers do not use this point, the game'll be bad. So the only one good point is the games and the talent of developpers. The developpers of Bungie Softwares are good, the developpers of Zelda are creative, and the productor of Rayman is very magical, but... Only the games will be in agreement with their status.

Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
It reminds me of Rayman 3 - each version had its strong and weak points. The GC versions had exclusive bonuses, the PC version had the best graphics, etc.
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
I think the most important point in a console is the gameplay, graphics don't need perfect graphics to be a good game
Remember, the first Mario Bros, Zelda and many in the NES, they are perfect games and they didn't need the graphics to be good, they only need the innovative gameplay which made them perfect games
The SNES was legendary because of its gameplay and well developed stories
Nes and SNES games were greater hits than actual games, why? Becuase the companies are focusing only in graphics now that they can upload consoles with that technology and they are forgotting that what a game really needs to be good is a good story and innovative gameplay, why do you think they are making remakes of past games? Why does the best games in the history are from the first consoles?
Because companies have cared only for graphics, actual games should be better than past games because the technology can do more, but they don't care and only want to add more and more graphics
Playstation is adding a lot of technology to PS3, but why it is an error? It increases price and it is a VIDEOGAME CONSOLE, not a"everything in the same device" machine and they are forgotting about the games. Xbox 360 is also focusing on technology but not as playstation, good, but they are working only in the graphics and not in the games, they will have better games than playstation but still, only M rated games. Nintendo finally notice that what is important is the gameplay, Wii will offer a different way to play games while PS3 and XBOX360 will keep the same way, Wii will be innovative and they didn't focuse on the graphcis which is only a secondary detail but focused on the gameplay which is primordial
Tell me the classic characters of xbox and playstation: soldiers, monsters, assasins... that is classic? Only M rated games!
Now tell me the classics of Nintendo: mario, star fox, samus... better stories and they don't necessary need violence, they are more fresh than soldiers and monsters
Innovation is the main word that describes Wii

Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
Classic characters of Xbox : John 117 (Halo : Combat Evolved), Ryu (Ninja Gaiden), Conker (Conker Live and Reloaded)...
Conker is a game with violence, but the violence is humor, the game is based on humor and parodies, the universe is crazy but REALLY FUNNY, you can't play Conker and not laugh, it is impossible. Ask to all people who have played this game, it is really funny. You can't say that the story is bad, the gameplay is not innovative, but THE story is quite funny, so the game is very good. Microsoft buy excellent developpers, like Rare, like Bungie, like Bizarre... etc.
And you can create a game which is innovative with the gameplay... Look at Halo : Combat Evolved, for example, on Xbox. It left the November 8th 2001 on America, on Xbox, and it was really innovative... The gameplay was innovative, the game was innovative, he used graphics for immersion, the best graphics at the time, but the gameplay was innovative too. The game had a story, a good story, and for a FPS, a story is very rare, and a good story, it was impossible to see. Look great FPS like Quake, or Unreal... They had no story. And the use of the vehicles was extremly good, I can say that it is the only one FPS who proposed vehicles with a perfect control, very intuitive, very easy to control, and the game good used possibilitys of vehicles. The AI was great too, if you play to the game attentively, you can see that, the ennemies are very intelligent, they used tactics systems, teamwork, and cover! And it was on a console, and a FPS in a console cannot have controls like a PC with mouse and keyboard, but the controls of Halo : Combat Evolved was great for a console, it is the best controls of a console FPS that I've seen. So, you can easily see that a game can be REALLY GREAT, with innovative gameplay and a graphics exceptionnal who help to the immersion... and that the universe of a game with violence can be extremly good. The universe of Halo is really great, the grunts are really funny, the design of Covenants is really reat, well, you can't frorgot them...
And... The console had not innovative gameplay with a pad, yes... but the developpers made a game with a really innovative gameplay.
So, if the developpers of the Wii do not use the potential of the Wii, the innovation of gameplay will use to nothing.
Damn, I have spoken of Halo. I need to play Halo, it is irresistible. I will play Halo all this day, now. I will finish Halo a new time, before I won't be able to play Halo.

Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
Well, only Conker, who more that isn't a monster or a soldier, the main character of halo isn't classic, it is a good game indeed, but not classic
Wii developers will use every single potencial of the console

Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
The character of Halo is really classic, he is more popular than Samus, Sonic, etc...

Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
I have seen Sonic more often
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
Yep, but in the poll of prefered characters, the 2 most popular were the Master Chief (Halo) and Link (Zelda).
Re: What is your favourite Rayman game?
I liked TimeSplitters 2.... you don't need blood to pull off an excellent FPS, just tons of crazy characters, zany villains, and a comedic storyline. XD
But yeah.... I like going back and playing old video games. This boss guy's like, "Holy crap! The Soviet Union's attacking and SOMEHOW you're the only one left! You're doomed! Good luck!
" And then you've gotta go in your little tiny ship and fight all these guys, then there's this huge boss that there is NO WAY the Soviet Union could have developed, and you've gotta blow it up, whereupon animated explosions appear all over it as it flickers away.
But I know for a fact that developers today have what it takes to make a classic.... I love old stuff, don't get me wrong; I'm the guy who goes to the flea market and buys old quail statues and "choose your own adventure" books; but something doesn't have to be old yet to qualify as a classic, that just means that it has or will live(d) on for a long time.
