Re: The You Game!
What ^ mentioned which <'s glad is more of a thing nowadays and < also thinks that the offtopic threads have been very helpful towards supporting that, a lot of other forums have them too but it seems to < they're usually not as active as here.
Re: The You Game!
< thinks that's a good point, and < wonders why that is. Somehow Rayman fans keep coming back and using the off topic section, but you never see it that often even on highly popular forums with a lot more members.

Re: The You Game!
< agrees that the off-topic section has always been a strong pillar of this place. It's allowed our users to connect beyond simply being Rayman fans, and this creates a great sense of community.
Re: The You Game!
< thinks it's nice actually, that way people can discuss other common interests too.
< seen an old episode of Family Fortunes the other day, and a contestant playing big money was asked to name a popular British TV soap, only for her to reply with "Dove", then immediately realise she made a huge mistake.

Re: The You Game!
< just heard that Velma from Scooby-Doo will be getting her own series at some point…
Re: The You Game!
< sees ^ uses ‘proper’ ellipses too.

Re: The You Game!
< only does it when < is at <'s PC. "Alt Gr + ;", it's much more convenient than tapping out three dots
Re: The You Game!
< never did that because they look the same, but that's nice to know nevertheless.
Oh, and nice to know "Alt Gr and -" makes – too!

Re: The You Game!
Yep, that's how < keeps using all those fancy characters in <'s posts
Re: The You Game!
< uses fancy punctuation all the time. Heck, <’s phone converts punctuation automatically!
Re: The You Game!
<'s punctuation and grammar improved a lot over the years. < actually used to have terrible punctuation; < looked back at forums from when < was younger, and < used to use absolutely no punctuation, along with all lowercase letters.

Re: The You Game!
< finds a certain pleasantness to reading all-lowercase text. unpunctuated text, on the other hand…
< was half-thinking of starting a playthrough of Portal 2 tonight, since it came out a decade ago today, but < ended up working really late instead.

Re: The You Game!
< loves the Portal games, and it's also been a while since < played them.

Re: The You Game!
< decided to open up Portal 2 anyway, and just picked a nice-looking chamber to play from recent publications to the Workshop. That was satisfying.
Re: The You Game!
< likes all-lowercase too, unpunctuated text and text where the punctuation is in the wrong place or filled with commas in places where there's no need for them however is quite annoying.

Re: The You Game!
< guesses it depends on the font rendering. In code comments, the Unicode ellipsis really doesn't do the job, since it's only a character wide!
Re: The You Game!
< says that there are minor spacing differences between them: …...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...…...Hunchman801 wrote: Tue Apr 20, 2021 2:46 pm < is pretty sure they don't look the same to Fifo, he has a keen attention to detail.
See?
Yeah, < tends to avoid them in monospaced fonts!PluMGMK wrote: Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:00 pm In code comments, the Unicode ellipsis really doesn't do the job, since it's only a character wide!![]()
Re: The You Game!
< can't even see anything about the spacing on <'s 2k monitor, but it's very noticeable on <'s phone. < can just see this on <'s PC.
Not saying you can't distinguish it but it's a lot harder to notice than on <'s phone.
