Re: Sevy's Art
Great art, I love it!
Re: Sevy's Art
Here is a rough sketch heavily inspired by the abandoned Rayman 4 concept animations that were generously uploaded.
Re: Sevy's Art
I love how your "rough sketch" is so accurate haha. Amazing as usual Sevy!
Re: Sevy's Art

Re: Sevy's Art
I had no idea the official Facebook page used to share fan drawings, how did you submit them back then?
Re: Sevy's Art
This was when the official Rayman /Adventures page was peaking. Every so often they held a fan art friday contest. You simply upload your work in the comment section, and they chose a winner for that period. I think my one was the last they did as the page was neglected not too long after.Hunchman801 wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 2:10 pm I had no idea the official Facebook page used to share fan drawings, how did you submit them back then?
This was September 2018
Re: Sevy's Art
Holy crap, that's amazing! I'm so happy for you that they featured your work.
Re: Sevy's Art
Yeah, that's awesome! It was also well-deserved.

Have a little video showing my rough workings on him:

Re: Sevy's Art
Nice, can't wait to see it when it's finished!
Re: Sevy's Art
Ill most likely do a fully rendered piece soon. That sketch is more or less finished so it just shows my starting progress.

You're so good at this! How long did it take you, as a matter of interest?Sevy wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 12:58 am Here is a rough sketch heavily inspired by the abandoned Rayman 4 concept animations that were generously uploaded.
That's brilliant! It's a pity they don't do that anymore…Sevy wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 6:08 pm This was when the official Rayman /Adventures page was peaking. Re: Sevy's Art
Thank you thats most kind! When I 'first started' getting this R3 style down, it took me roughly about 2 years to get his looks more or less official. I started with my own style that got me started. Looked nothing like him, but we all start from some where lol. I then physically copied artworks and screenshots etc.to get his proportions/ moods etc correct. Since developing and practising from official concepts I then found that click. Naturally most people find this 'click'. I found mine after about 10 months practice on and off.PluMGMK wrote: Sat Apr 17, 2021 6:55 pmYou're so good at this! Re: Sevy's Art
Or even better, the good old times when we had art contests here sponsored by Ubisoft... I guess that back then, Rayman was still a thing.
Re: Sevy's Art
Ah yes....way back in the days where old games had alot of hype and news....and contests worth entering. Things were just so much more exciting compared to things we look to now.Hunchman801 wrote: Sun Apr 18, 2021 7:16 pmOr even better, the good old times when we had art contests here sponsored by Ubisoft... Oh yes....here are some more old sketches! X
Re: Sevy's Art

Re: Sevy's Art
I see that you're even alternating between the Rayman 2 and 3 styles, that's pretty cool!
Re: Sevy's Art
This is awesome! Is it okay if i use some of your concepts and designs for my Rayman fan-game!
Re: Sevy's Art
Thank you! If you feel they are relevant sure. Please ensure you credit me for all of my works you use, if you upload them elsewhere thanks. ^^TTK wrote: Tue Apr 20, 2021 7:56 pm This is awesome! Is it okay if i use some of your concepts and designs for my Rayman fan-game!
